  1. AT&T - Call Home on AT&T Calls Telecommuters Back To the Cubicle · · Score: 1

You gotta get real with some of these #'s of productivity. Kids, Dog, food beer TV are all distractions that make you get absolutly nothing done. I choose to work in an office because you don't have all those distractions. Sure.. I might loose some time from coworkers but not nearly as much as I would if I had family around. I haven't heard anything about them stopping people working from home after hours. Explain to me how you can tell if someone is messing around at home if thier sales are down or they are busting there butts trying to break even? From a management view, you can't. If everyone is doing great, then there isn't a problem. But apparently AT&T isn't doing so well. You can't sit there and continue to loose money without making a change. Complain all you want, but you should feel fortunate for all the years you got to have all that freedom.

I myself can't wait for the new V8 AMD chip. I hear it'll be the fastest production chip on the block. I can do burnouts with my processers. That wimpy 3 cylinder Intel wouldn't go faster than my golf cart. Anyone else see our future becoming this? I swear, computers and cars are eventully going to merge into one field.

nah.. I think it's because they know they'll make really fugly babies and they are doing there part by narrowing down the gene pool.

If you want something for free, you have to follow by their rules. It's as simple as that. Why should they take extra time and effort (MONEY money money) to have someone do something that is out of the automation. Ads bring profit only if everything else is automated. They also have bills. Don't complain if you are getting it free and aren't using it by the rules.

  6. Lessons Learned on Airbus Plans to Expand Cockpit Automation · · Score: 1

In the great action flick Die Hard 2, the terrorist took over the airport and set the altititude of 200 ft lower than what it should have been and sent that data to the planes. Now, even though they took over the radar at the airport, but what's to say they couldn't take over this control system?
Really and truely, i think airplanes should use turn signals. I hate it when people can't seem to use thier's :P

  7. Lawsuit is Invalid on Real Sues Baseball Over Windows Media · · Score: 5, Insightful

The lawsuit should be ruled invalid. MLB bought a service. They don't have to use it if they don't want to. It's like If I don't play my old nintendo anymore even though it's there. They still have the option to use it if they want to though because they bought the option for the year.

Real needs to stop complaining and be happy they got the money they got.
Ps: Stop the lawsuits, we look like crap in other countries.

  8. SCO/MPAA on SCO to Take On Hollywood · · Score: 1

I hear the MPAA uses Linux servers for there logging and firewalls! I also hear that the SCO has millions of MP3's on their workers computers!

Now, let them sue each other and get these two stupid companies out of mainstream public news. Here's an idea, lets just all sue each other!

    What a stupid mentality...

  9. You have to think of it this way on Windows Virus Takes Out Gov't Agencies in MD, PA · · Score: 1

This virus patched billions of systems in a quick amount of time. With these systems unpatched... Much worse things could have happened. The virus maker did Microsoft a favor by releasing this. He made it annoying as possible without doing any serious damage. Making it annoying made you do something to fix it.
And if you didn't patch, well it's your fault. You were bound to get your system ripped open sooner or later anyway. So now your system is fixed.. You are less likely to recieve a virus that will destroy your system.

I think they missed the boat when the telephone was invented. Or are they just taking cuts from the phone company that we don't know about? Eww.. even better, satellites with the pagers and cell phones. That's just my point of view, and probably the view of others so I had to get it off my chest.
