You could have easily established that it was in fact a joke had you clicked the link to verify:
Bill the Cat, or Bill D. Cat (according to the final Outland strip), is a fictional cat appearing in the works of cartoonist Berkeley Breathed,... he was responsible for the Chernobyl nuclear disaster
Is that seriously enough time for such an evolution to take place? I was not aware evolution happened so quickly, even accounting for their quicker viability for reproduction. Seems like there might be a million other reasons why this is happening, not because of something so recent.
Who the hell modded this troll? This is exactly right. As much as I want this to be about SimCity, this is about a lot of things, including but primarily because of their financial position over the past few years. There is no direct correlation between always on DRM and his departure.
So no, this wasn't the amazing win for anti-DRM efforts we all want it to be. That doesn't mean this situation won't help, though.
I live decently on $17,736 in San Diego, California. I lucked out and my house only has a mortgage of $560 and live in a good neighborhood that's close to Qualcomm Stadium. How in the hell do you pay $200 a month for car insurance? Do you frequently get in accidents?
While I do not like Weev, that's the whole point of running for government especially if you're not a politician by trade... If you think it's being run wrong, you get involved and try to change it. Of course, that is probably a fool's errand at this point unless you can somehow get to the very top without being corrupted on the way.
You clearly don't understand how breaking and entering works. Merely pushing open the door once you unlock it with the key you found is sufficient force to become breaking and entering. If you do it with the intent to take something, it instantly becomes burglary.
It will still happen anyway. Are you kidding? Pretty much all of Blizzard's other games these days has been made to play offline. bnetd was certainly a win for them, but it hasn't stopped those from continuing this sort of behavior.
Just because it's DRM free doesn't mean you're allowed to give it to everyone you know. DRM free means they're trusting you enough not to do that. You are the rationale for DRM personified. Handing out the game to others is copyright infringement, DRM encumbered or not.

But I know that Nielsen actually asks for this kind of information. If you're watching something on Hulu they want to know.
a) He didn't mention youtube.
b) Because video playback isn't the only function of computers?
I'm sorry; I wasn't aware we needed a PhD to discuss articles on slashdot of all sites. My bad.

Nothing.

With that sort of sorry ass logic, moving anywhere it's cheaper is just "ahead of the curve"
That's some ridiculous logic you have there.

It's a powerful talk. I'd definitely love to see them get further.

Now you can toss the sarcasm tag.

BULLSHIT. Unless you *actually steal something*.
Trespassing is still a crime, even if you don't steal anything from a residence.

You are really bad an analogies.
That's great and all, but lets focus on the country this actually happened in. What laws did AT&T break in the US?
Shitty bank? Absolutely. That doesn't absolve the other party.
Exactly which one of us said it isn't?
What suit was this?

How is this modded up, honestly?

Anyone with garnishments levied against them?
...I have my blinds up doesn't make it legal for you to stand in the street and watch my family dress ot bathe.
Actually, it does.
No one ever said anything about temporary insanity IIRC. Weapons in his home complete with booby-traps don't actually prove he isn't insane.
$40 for some new missions in the already developed level editor on the already developed engine and a few new multiplayer maps.
About the only thing that actually had to be done special is the voice work and any cinematics for the campaign.
Some people think $40 for an expansion based on 95% of content they already own is reaching a bit far.
