You are, of course, given the option of turning off the animated character and enabling advanced search behaviour, which makes for a far more 2k-like experience.
... except Newtons were marketed long before PDAs were common; how do you get someone to buy something when they don't know how they'll use it? Cellphones are a bit of a different animal.
Almost went there, but it seem shameful to waste mod points on an AC who's clearly trolling. Why mark it as such, when it's so intuitively obvious to the most casual of observers?
If I'm understanding your post correctly... the Apple TV doesn't record (yet). The main issue is not the quality (or lack thereof) of the Apple TV, it's the lack of high definition content on the iTunes store. I've taken 1080p MPEG-2 transport streams, transcoded to 720p H.264, and it's absolutely jaw-dropping.
TBC's do a lot - you should read this short page, it is very concise and to the point. Reading that particular link, TBCs seem problematic if you're doing capture; the TBC converts the analog signal into digital, lets it hover in a framebuffer, and then "squirts" it back out as analog at the right moment... at which point, the capture device takes the analog, converts it back to digital..... this is bound to degrade the video.
I find it curious that her 'legal' notice is substantially similar to that found here; is this some legal boilerplate off a laminated card purchased from Staples? Can legal notices be copyrighted? Does a legal notice about copyright constitute notice of copyright? IANAL (obviously), nevertheless, this definitely raised my eyebrows.
According to the article, Win2k users can use the tzedit utility to edit the timezones, ostensibly to alter when/how DST occurs. My initial impulse was to say "what bastards!" (as is often the case with M$ related silliness), but this is only slightly ameliorated by this workaround. Just roll out a bloody patch, guys.
Extensive testing by the FCC and UL has virtually eliminated the possibility of 802.11n-induced biological effects in mammary tissue.
The tingling must be something else.
A strong recommendation for someone who works in advanced broadband svcs @ BH Tampa Bay: insist on speaking to a Level IV rep to make account changes. Regional customer service is notorious for wrecking accounts when making changes involving internet service. We Level IV's are the ones who are called on to fix said accounts. In CS's defense, we have to deal with an unneccessarily complex billing system that isn't as straightforward as it should be.
To be quite honest, I would argue that Windows shouldn't be there in the first place. 3... 2... 1...

... and, of course, XP was terrifying until SP2.

Flamebait, perhaps, but no more so than any other opinion expressed on Slashdot... and it doesn't make it any less true.

Can we say... class-action? Hell hath no fury like American consumers scorned.
I don't know... a spaceship with the voice of Sigourney Weaver. Would this also involve a trip to LV-426? And a housecat?

The Vista graph will have to wait for web browsers capable of rendering the graphs in 5-space.
Why are you worried about iPoo when you should be worried about U-No-Poo, the constipation sensation that's...
...that sounded much funnier before I typed it. Must be HP fever induced by those promo pics from Equus . Shudder.
That's the browsing experience you get when your DTDs are moving targets.
I would've seen this post sooner, but my RSS feed was broken... something about a 404?
Actually, he'd probably argue that An Inconvenient Truth 2 was already filmed, but called Left Behind .

Clearly you've never purchased a cell phone and not signed the next two years of your life away on a contract.

So this is essentially a giant tinfoil hat for your office? Will it stop the voices as well?
The Mac System 5 screenshoot appears to actually be an Apple IIGS... not System 5 at all. :-(
Java-Cocoa... this would be... mocha?
