Ape B only makes it through life by getting A type apes to do things they are too useless to do themselves(which is pretty much everything) Fast forward a few dozen generations of natural selection. The B type apes have adapted all sorts of compensation mechanisms for their lack of any functioning ability to think. A type apes have become far more productive than any B type ape could ever dream of. Now when Ape C comes along and needs some apes to do a task he's going to want a B type ape that is good at getting A type apes to do stuff. This mental defect and co-dependency in the B type ape is what's known in the corporate world as leadership. One day they might discover a cure and rid humanity of this blight. It's obviously survival of the fittest..not the smartest.

When you back off from business tasks and say "I don't do that I'm a techie" you look as silly as a person who has an Outlook problem and says "I'm not a techie I don't do that" How many IT departments in non IT companies can actually say that they are treated like a part of the business and not just like an irritating expense.

You forgot the repeated payola scams. That's where the music companies pay programmers to play their stuff to shut out the competition. Sony got busted for that too. Sorry if you're an independent musician but no one gets to hear you. No company convicted of payola should get a fine any less than %100 of their profit for the year. Let the shareholders work out the rest with the board of directors.
