Poor choice of words on my part. I meant an honest debate. Objective facts are few and far between in this world. People who only deal in facts are excessively obtuse and rarely contribute anything on any subject. Objective facts are important for confirmation and form the cornerstones of good arguments but objective opinions are just as important to any discussion. Take abortion, war, politics, love, religion and marketing. Most of the major issues in our lives are squarely in the realm of personal opinion. People who only deal in facts are intellectually crippled and unable to meaningfully deal with any of these issues.

Personally I'd like to see university courses trimmed down to just setting curriculum and evaluation. The university could then offer additional services if the student feels that they are necessary. Books, classes, labs, TAs could all be available but not manditory for the student.
All those professors that gloat that they fail half their classes can get pushed out by professors with good success rates. If the useless ass at the front of the class is just going to read the book, fuck him I'll buy the book and read it myself. He can do whatever he wants as long as I don't have to pay for it.

No actually Ape B is a manipulative parasite. It's not a lesser type of intelligence but it is used AGAINST the other apes. It does NOT lead to over all better productivity. Proper teamwork will ALWAYS win over one ape sitting on their ass manipulating the rest for their own advantage.
But if Ape A was all that smart they would have smashed the B's heads in with a rock and learned to do for themselves.
Moral of the story is as smart as we think we are we're still a bunch of apes.
If you ever get the chance to work on an extremely effective team you'll notice the person in charge doesn't lead. They elicit consensus where possible and break deadlocks where necessary. They are far more concerned with setting an example than "leading".
We now know for a fact from the interwebz that moderated cooperation far outdoes classical hierarchy structure.
