The one thing that people do not seem to know about Aion is that you can be ganked but there is 10+ channels to select to quest in. It's an option that quite a few don't know about until you get to near 15+. If you can't find an NPC you need in one channel? You switch channels and hope that it's there. If you are getting ganked in one channel you can switch channels and they would have to figure out which channel you were in to follow and each time you switch it takes time.

You do realize, well obviously you don't, the clock speed of a processor means nothing between different models when it comes to performance. A newer 2.0 Core 2 Due processor SMOKES my 3.0 Pentium 4.

Yup, I got the update notification while sitting here at work and installed the new version and soon as I restarted Firefox there was a story posted on Slashdot about the update.

If a woman designer is not as good as her male counterpart then how, in your honest opinion, do they deserve to have the job over the male designer? If he can design better games and it has been proven then why would a woman suddenly get his job? Everyone has to prove that they are worth it to be given a chance and with the incredibly small amount of women game designer/coders etc. then there is a smaller pool of talent to work with. The truly good ones will and do get the jobs they desire. Yes, you do have to prove yourself and if that pisses you off then you really need to look at a new job market.

  5. Re:Apples and oranges... on Gold Buying - Time Saver or Cheating? · · Score: 1

Different people have different viewpoints of the world and also where their money is best spent. I play WoW but I have never bought gold. I do not look down on it because some people have more real life money than others and it is much easier to go buy 800g and get your level 60 epic mount than it is to farm for weeks on end for it. Yes, it is debatable if that is right or wrong but in the end it is easier and the easier path is chosen frequently by those who can (much to the envy of those who can not).

The game is fun to play without buying gold but some people do not care if they spend money to buy something within a game because why try to horde your money just to horde it (pun sorta intended)? If you have everything in your life where you want it and you enjoy a game and want to "splurge" and buy gold so you don't have to spend a massive amount of time doing "less fun" tasks then why not? I have "upgraded" my equipment for a multitude of sports and activities over the years for things that I enjoy doing and this is very similar. Yes, I don't need the latest shoe style to go play basketball on Saturday afternoon and I could get by with my Air Payless shoes but I've got the money for the real deal so why not go ahead and do it? It only increases my enjoyment of my Saturday experience even if it doesn't really help my game :p
