Everything has been running extremely smoothly with a nicely segmented and configured network. Download speed (Free software or shareware, of course) usually is close to 100mbit/s as aspected - something that's not that easy to manage when 5000 geeks starts pumping stuff around:)
On a side note, I strongly believe that if car makers made it easier to change the plastic body panels, people would love to own a few different sets so if they got tired of the current color, they could switch.
As far as I know, this is possible on the SMART. God damn ugly car though:)
They are about to cut the network (DH2002 is almost over), so I answer a few of this questions briefly:
:-(
:-)
>how much did you pay to go to this?
500 SEK, about 55 US$
>do you live there or did you travel to go to it?
People live here during the event, but they come from all over Sweden.
>whats the most popular game being played there?
Counter-Strike
Q3A and Warcraft 3 are other popular choices.
>whats on the big screen?
Info, finals from game compos, demoscene stuff and other fun stuff
Yes, they surely are...
:)

I'm here, and everything rocks, execept that the whole thing is over in about 4 hours :/
Yeah, but Nokia have lots of development people here in Sweden.
I have seen several ads here in newspapers where Nokia is searching for software engineers and stuff...
At my work we used Exchange 5.5 on a P100 with 96Mb RAM. 150+ users, no speed problems at all.
Of course I would prefer some opensource solution, but my boss likes Microsoft :/
Hmm I'm using it with Netscape 4x, Mozilla and Opera. What's your problem?
Hehe, I see a black one outside my office in this very moment.... goddamn it's small! :)

Nokia 5100 flashy? Butt ugly is closer ...
:-)
But it doesn't look 100 years old like most Motorolas
Sure...
Check this post in the Slackware forum from David Cantrell (Slack developer)
As seen in that post, www.slackware.com was hacked and defaced 25 december.
yeah!
:/
slackware, a distro with attitude
to bad they where sloppy enough to get www.slackware.com rooted around new year
Hey, dependency checking does not work as intended in red hat either! Diff in names and stuff mess things up for the beginners anyway...
Slackwares way is better: Let the sysadmin do the thinking.
Read the license for most commercial applications. You can't sue them either.
This is one of the most stupid misunderstangings about opensource.
luckily we don't have to deal with this in sweden anymore... church sucks!
hmm I can't remember which Arthur Clarke book that is? enlighten me, i gotta read it again! :-)
couldn't find any...
and binary ones only for 2.2.17
this is the problem with closed-source drivers for an fast-changing os like linux...
yuck
everything sucks about telia except this
Why are keyboards such a problem? I am using a Danish one right here, and I use a different one again when in Belgium..
;-)
well i'm sure danish people would be pretty disturbed if they have to use a keyboard from Belgium, or a spanish, or... etc
just a swedes 2 cents
and they are using a nonexistant nokia cellular...
a combination between 7110 and 8110 if i remember correctly
hehe i like the feeling when driving home a late night and you (the driver) suddely "wakes up":
"already at home? I can't remember driving more than i few 100 meters"
;-)
buy we don't have much traffic around here at night...
nah, security=domain is used when you authenticate your users against *another* pdc...
h p3 for howtos about samba-tng
if your are doing your own pdc, you should use security=user
check http://bioserve.latrobe.edu.au/samba/ for very nice info about samba 2.0.7 (latest stable, does not work as pdc with wni2k)as pdc
check http://www.kneschke.de/projekte/samba_tng/index.p
...guess I can ditch the idea of having w2k as game platform then... win98se runs solid on the same hardware though...
;)))))
haven't installed linux yet, i got the computer this friday
nokia 7110 has wap. i think it was the first phone public with wap... at least here in sweden
nop... mostly cuz i'm using a k6 200mhz ;-)
sucks bigtime
hmm and I was going to buy one these suckers (g400 32mb)...
;-)
thought the g400 drivers where more stable by now, since g400 is almost a year old now...
why not just reuse my old mystique 220 instead?
