  1. Re:Nonsense. on P2P File Sharing Ruining Physical Piracy Business · · Score: 1

In what software concerns I could recon an issue for physical pirates. Thus dropping earnings.

Downloading 1GB Is not that bad, even my slow connection can do it in a week, and most of the times that's less than waiting for the physical pirates to have it on their 'shelves'.

Then you have the real reason P2P beats physical pirates, the physical guys use low quality disks that get damaged too soon, sometimes in the way back to home from the place you bought them... ...So then the stuff you bought gets frigged up. Gets lockups when you try to install or if it is a movie it has bad issues sometimes. And when you want to exchange they get "difficult". So it seems more confortable and less prone to errors to use P2P...

And I could swear I saw DVD downloads in .ISO format, so convertion might not be that much of an issue.

A was "kinda" easy, the rest is ... ... well, let's say that ACM is a classical source of problems that seem easy "at first". From my own experience it also gets harder to solve problems during the in place finals since there are 'other factors', but these guys probably got used to it since they went to a lot of them in order to classify to the finals.

I am no frigging American, but let's be fair, getting to the finals is hard enough, and Harvard's position is not exactly terrible.

And she never heard of 'installing drivers' Fact is the AU needs a lot of help in windows even to play DVDs (specially to play DVDs now that everything is moving to that DRM crap). In fact, the AU still has a lot of issues in windows with stuff like 'Copying files' or Decompressing files, seriously. I know this because I used to distribute tools for game editing...

But yes, it is still a beta. I for one would like to thank God for letting the ubuntu people choose blue for active colors, the orange toned edgy blows, seriously. This is perhaps the most beatiful screenshot I've seen of a default gnome distro.

Whatever happened to real scientists, I am kind of tired of how politized this became. Fact is the world's average temperature got higher. And the climate has really become crazy you might check this year's news about weather and stuff if you like.

Current evidence points out that the green house effect should be taken seriously. And there's little research from scientists to get another conclussion. There is a big chance that the unnatural increase of CO2 which is a worldwide change to the atmosphere might be affecting the world's temperature, we could even guess that changing a planet's atmosphere has effect on the planet...

Shall reducing emissions be the solution? Who knows? I doubt we have time to fix the issue, maybe gore would have helped the environment more if he brought this during the clinton period instead of trying to use as an electoral campaign...

But CO2 is not the only thing industries are dumping into the air, and eventually they getting cleaner might become the best option both for the environment and the economy.
