    I worked for 4 weeks over Christmas break at Radio Shack and got 2 paychecks. Then I was part of a class action and got another paycheck's worth of money. Then there was another one and I got another half a check. Best job ever!

    Bitcoin takes 10 minutes on average (by design) to get a single confirmation (the minimum to avoid double spends). That's far too slow for a checkout line.

    What exchange? Many people trade them in person. But yeah, now that there is guidance, it would be nice to get a tax form from the exchanges.

    The fact that most barter transactions are probably not reported by either party. Not saying that people shouldn't pay taxes on them, just that they probably won't.

    Many people at the beginning bought them with cash from companies that are no longer in business. It might be a little hard for the IRS to track.

    Yes. But if you had to sell a couple to pay for Christmas and they were lower in January than when you bought them, it's nice to take that loss on your taxes.

    Also, this confirms that if you keep your bitcoins over a year and then they go up enough for you to retire, you can live on them tax free the rest of your life (unless the lowest tier changes rates).

    Also, the bad news is that the Admissions office is usually more generous about transfers than the Records office. Once you get there, you may find that your credits don't transfer as well as they led you to believe before you got there.

    I remember way back in the old days (80s), an ATM that I went to dispensed my cash twice. I took it inside and let them know that I had gotten $80 when the machine told me that I got $40. They had released new ATM software the night before. It was 9 AM and I was the first person to bring it to their attention.

    That's because some guys pointed out in the blockchain that MagicalTux (Karpeles) was proven to have previously had access to an account with 200,000 bitcoins in it. That meant that any coins spent out of that account would be proven theft. Better to say they "forgot" about them.
