This does happen, but quite obvously it's a lot harder to do as you need the reputation of a critic and if you're caught you won't be sent any more films to reveiw, but I see your point.
Also, these films have a REALLY annoying text strip every 10 mins saying something like "Property of [blahblah studios]"
That's true, and I'll admit I hardly ever buy films, but I'm not going to try and justify that what I do "isn't that bad because it hardly affects anyone". I just thought it was an interesting point to make that if someone didn't enjoy a pirated film [and the quality was something to do with that] that they might be put off from buying it or seeing it on the big screen.
I think that a lot of people would like to agree with the article because it makes them feel better.
I was looking at it from an "intellectual property" point of view, I'm not talking about remakes.
I have recently run into this in my job where someone copied one of our products almost exactly, but with poorer quality materials that don't work as well, and I think this could damage the reputation of our product. In this I think there's fair game for me to make the comparison to a Xx0CAMRIPxX with shitty sound and people coughing all the way through compared to seeing a film in the cinema.
It is essentially the same, but nowhere near as good as the original, and I think that could put someone off buying the film at a later date.
but isn't that like saying stealing an invention and reproducing it poorly will make people buy the original?
My argument is that it may put them off the product altogether.
Getting a bit out of hand. Elliot was one guy, with crazy ideas, and mental health issues, he isn't a reflection of the rest of us. Let's just be glad he wasn't smart enough to get into politics and pull a hitler on us.
>The irony is that your response is equally archaic.
The irony is that you're pointing this out to prove you can correctly identify irony, because you were unsure of yourself until now.

Thanks for posting this, so I didn't have to go find it.
Gotta love AC's.
The only reason this would be remotely relevant, funny or even smirkworthy would be if it was 10 years ago and you had in fact succeeded at being the first to post.
The jokes over man. And you just lost the game.
HA!
Surely instead of lengthening the actual sentece, you could say, make a prisoners perception of 15 minutes last 15 years, therefore rehabilitating them with a pill. Of course I'm only musing, it is of course a rediculous concept.
Get an internet TV, and a network harddrive, samsung does a great one - it has a file browser. Using an entire computer for a media centre is sacrilege, if you love the tiles and apps so much, get an xbox and use that, XboxOne's kinect voice controls actually work quite well.
The point I was trying to make was that metro is ergonomically retarded for a desktop or laptop.
Fuck your metro Fanboyishness (sp), you're making excuses by saying it's good at something it was never made to do, but agreeing with the fact that it's awful at what it is supposed to do.
They may want to take a market share in mobile devices, but do you see MacOSX putting Tiles and Apps on their desktop devices? No.
Marketing Department sshould be fired.
Does anyone NOT using a touchscreen device use apps on windows 8?
I've been running VLC for Windows since I got Win8, just after it came out and had no problems with it as a traditional program, in fact it's the only media player I use for video.
Isn't this a waste of developer's time? Why won't microsoft give up on apps and tiles? 8 isn't THAT bad without them...
They still do them; https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
I..I, um... what? Back to /b/ with you.
Agreed, the more complex something becomes, the more likely there is to be a blindspot or loophole in the design.

I'll give that a read, thanks.

I was focusing on a Pre DVD/Bluray release I guess, because that's what the article seems to focus on. You can't rip a Bluray that isn't out yet.

Quantum computing is just around the corner. -_-

I hate that I have the compulsion to do this, but *which(title) && *doesn't or does not (signature).

>(-1) Haters gonna hate. I agree with you for what it's worth. Maybe mozilla should boycott gays? See how they like it.
Well, this seems to point out a lack of online policing, or "internet police". That day seems almost upon us.
I'm glad someone got it. +2 groodies to you.
