There are many more games that can be considered art in several levels. Another world, for example, could be considered art for its narrative and despiction of an alien world, plus the visual style is quite ingenious. However, as long as games like Flower (and example of a pretentious game), Waco Resurrection (wtf is that) and goddamn Call of Duty are being the study subject, this debate will be biased. Even Ico series or Bioshock could be better examples.
Unfortunately, as much as you'd like it, you're lower on the pecking order. You have to fix their stuff. You do your job as much as they can get their work done.
A good example is Heroes of Newerth. Some games do require input from the players in order to balance, or fix, broken systems. Most MMORPG also fall into this (and generally fail to do so...). Hell most competitive games should get input from the players. Of course, if the creator can't be arsed to hire moderators to keep the flaming and trolls in check, that's an entirely different matter.
Hate, and a general populacy which is asking to be handed the money instead of working for it.
Common venezuelans are amongst the worst people i've met. They are lazy, arrogant, and careless. The funny part is that, while all that demagogy worked when he was elected, now public opinion is against him. Yes, finally, eleven years later. They just let him take over with fake promises and ignoring all the signs of the incoming catastrophe.
Thank you venezuela. Good thing I'm uruguayan and free to leave when i'm ready.
You can for sure add some Linux and let them learn about it, but "exposing them at a very young age" to different stuff in the technology world will be as interesting for them as exposing them to the world of Wall Street.
Saying this in Slashdot.org would probably ask for the Linux fans to jump at you screaming that it would be better to use some distro... wait it already happened. I agree with you because support is important, but I can see the plus of using Linux. I just don't think the time has already come for it.
Exactly. Ubuntu carries all the things that could make a typical home user make the switch, but the compatibilty and accesability is still an issue. I thought it was a very good article.
I'm really surprised at the ammount of hate SC2 has received and the lack of people defending it. It might be something with people liking it a lot, though, and all the points you raise are generally very subjective. I do agree with the lack of region inter-play and the lack of LAN support, the rest aren't really all that important to me.

Microsoft is serving up the next generation of PC users to Apple on a silver platter, thanks to the XBOX.
Apple? Are you sure? I'd think they would move out to Linux in any case.
Wow, NWS/NLS dammit.
But Apple didn't made any OS named "Windows". That's the point.
And I've yet to ready a coherent reply to that question.
Oh well, that typo took away the anger.
I love how people don't bother to read the comments before making such posts.

Wait wat, how could you have enjoyed Full Throttle 2?
Oh dear. I watched some videos of the latter, and I certainly didn't want to play it back then. As for Full Throttle 2... that's painful.

Which is funny because in venezuela the ammount of blackberries surpases, for example, spain.
Do you realize the international observers were from OEA? And that the OEA and Chavez are buddies? But yeah, that's to blame on general population.
You're missing the point. They are taking it to be their right to exercise arbitrary censorship on the internet, which is always a bad idea.

Venezuela isn't a socialist democracy, it's borderline comunism.
It's marketing, backed up with shiny shiny products.
Fixed that for you.
You forgot about multitasking!

You can do all that stuff in the computer! No need for physical pain either!

That was such a asperger's machine gun flurry i'm tempted to answer.
Neither do my Windows machines seem affected. Clearly, this article is a lie.

Actually, the movie would end with a twist. Or am I just failing at the joke?
