A Pic? You will never see a pic. They reportedly buried him at sea, and have him a traditional Islamic burial? Is being dumped at sea an Islamic tradition? The fact that they report him being dumped at sea to prevent his grave being a shrine or whatever, but gave him a traditional Islamic burial, make me call BS all day.
Buried at sea? Really? What is he Megatron or something. jeez....
I thought we claim that 50 miles out in the ocean is ours too. So wouldn't 50 miles out be the actual border? If 100 miles in is this "constitution-free" zone then it should really be 50 miles. Maybe I am wrong about the water part but that was my understanding.
It is true that cars have knock sensors, but what they do is retard the timing in the engine. Retarding the timing removes power and thus the car is seen to be running worse. So they may not need higher octane fuel to operate, they do need it to run their best. Not all cars though.
I had a beer in Germany named Highlander a number of years back. It was a medium lager but had whisky in it. It was really, really good. I was amazed at just how good a beer could taste with hard spirits in it. I have looked for a long time for that beer and never found it again.
Well it is not that far off track for Citibank. In the 90's I showed up at a branch and wanted to open a savings account. The teller called over the branch manager and he told me that they would not open a savings account for me. I didn't know why I couldn't have a savings account so I asked, the answer was a little shocking. "It's a character issue." I guess unfortunately for me long hair and slayer t-shirts are not a protected class under the Constitution. Anyways, now they always want to gimme credit cards and whatnot but they lost my business for life.
I am neither a physicist nor a math professor either, but I do find articles about why we cannot travel the speed of light fun to read. As far as logic goes, I find it illogical to think that those of us alive today will travel anywhere near the speed of light. 7 teraelectron volts was my poor attempt at humor...
Net necessarily. I can brew beer for my own consumption without paying tax on it. I do pay tax on ingredients though. I guess if I sold it I would have to pay the tax. I suspect if they actually go through with legalization/decriminalization they will allow some amount of home grow for personal use without flipping out about it.
I was never absolute. I said there will always be a percentage of the population that is addicted. I also said many of those people may never run into those problems. I did not say won't. How exactly was that absolute?
You would be one to talk about ignorance. Maybe you should not read my reply but go read some statistics about some European countries and the progress they are making with harm reduction as it pertains to drug abuse. The drug isn't the problem. People like you are the problem. You would rather throw someone in prison than try to help them with their problem. That is truly a shame.
I never said anything about going to work while tripping on acid. That is absurd. People have relationships everyday while on acid and do very well at it.
There is documented proof that alcohol abuse and use decreased when prohibition ended. Unfortunately we do not allow ourselves to learn from our own history and mistakes.
You are correct and I agree, no matter the policy there will be abuse. So why not try to educate people and treat their sickness instead of throwing them away like yesterdays garbage. I guess you will never understand that because you think a plant that has been used by many cultures since 4000 B.C. is "The Problem." I think you are the one that needs to wake up and recognize the obvious sometime in your life. But I digress..... Why am I even replying to you. I am a moron and support drug decriminalization. I should probably be in prison as far as you are concerned. I am a vacuous malignancy on the morally superior in the land of the free.
Your argument is ridiculous. If drugs were not illegal then those people who become destitute may never even have run into those problems in the first place. If we looked at ALL drugs as a health issue and not a criminal one then we would probably make much greater headway in reform and keeping people off of drugs in the first place.
It is unfortunate but there is always going to be a percentage of the population addicted to drugs. Whether they are legal or not. I would much rather my tax dollars go to helping someone with a health problem get better, than to see them go to imprison someone with a health problem. You see, either way they are getting your tax dollars. Why not use them to research harm reduction instead of building prisons?
I don't think longer time in school is the answer. I do think we should make fundamental changes in the way school works though. I think K-12 should all exist on the same campus. I think older kids should be involved in teaching younger kids and also take part in supporting after school programs. I think everything from wood shop, auto shop, and associated trades to advanced math and science programs should be available for students who excel or are interested in said areas. I also think that if you do bad in one subject it shouldn't necessarily keep you from progressing with your class. Maybe you need to re-take that subject again, but no reason not to continue with your peers and apply more work where it is needed.
No Way! When i pulled that bad drive from the 3140c, and replaced it with the replacement that had arrived this morning, the clouds overhead parted as the Valkyries sang and I rose to my rightful place, occupying the throne of Odin. As the gods before me gasped and awed at my most masterful replacement and saving of the data, 72 virgins were laid before me and I now rule in GLORY!!!!
That isn't entirely accurate. Much of the deficit that is coming to light now is the expense of the wars that we are in and only now are we seeing the true cost. It was not part of the budget under Bush so the numbers were skewed. That does not excuse Obama of spending like my wife at Macy's, but the entire fault of our predicament cannot be placed on Obama.
If there were a way to reign in the Congress and the President and stop them from mortgaging my kids futures believe me I would be all for it. The problem isn't that we elected a Democrat. The problem is that we have a 2 party system and anyone who would truly do right by the people is laughed at for considering a run at the presidency.
What would you have us do right now to stop the president? Realistically what can we do. I write my representatives in Congress and ask them to stop spending money we don't have. I have done it many times. That doesn't seem to work though. So short of something drastic and unrealistic like exercising my right to bear arms, what would you have me do to affect positive change?
Oh, and for the record, I am seeing exactly the change that I expected. Be careful how you use the word "you". Don't let my responses convince you of my political stance on issues, or my party affiliation.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think Obama is the savior of this country by any means. I just think it is fair to pass judgment after he has failed. I am aware of the projections though. Not pretty to say the least. It definitely looks like we are in for change, just not the change he promised. The saddest part of all of it for me is that the person I want to see elected would be laughed at.
Do you think we should wait to see how it all comes out in the end of the Obama presidency? Or is it ok to just decide that he is gonna mess everything up and call him a loser 8 months in to a 4 year term?
please send me one 'greghaa' at my 'gmail' dot com

I was too. Maybe he will figure out a way to make it go 500 mph and offer it as a service. Is it possible to go 500 mph underwater?
Unintentional? You thin they didn't test anything and just let it roll? This is called testing to see just how formidable a foe VMWare really are.
Yeah, when this doesn't work suddenly he will have had a heart attack.

Before you do that let me open a school to train auto-mechanics.

You mean something like 7 teraelectron volts. Maybe that woul do it no?

Do we spend any money on treating alcoholism?

i stopped reading there. its pure ignorance

The pirate bay will never die.
Now they are like zombie pirates which are way cooler than just pirates.
My kids totally go to public school.

No, this is /. It is way more like Ford shipping Buick motors in their cars, than it is Pepsi shipping Coke in their bottles.
I am pretty sure I wasn't serious. My fault for lack of proper tag.
