You didn't ask that from me but what kind impression I have had from what Aaron has told, is that KDE4 is coming smarter, so there is no need for configurations, because KDE will notice what user wants and leave more easier working enviroment for user when.

Feature and Configuration are two different things.

KDE has lots of features and lots of configurations. Gnome has few features and even less configurations. Now KDE4 will move kde to direction that there will be lots of features but much less configurations. Default look will be very simple and clean so all "dumb" gnome users can use kde easily but power user who knows what wants, can turn things ON and customize whole enviroment.

It was much better to have G and K somewhere on names so you always seed right away wich enviroment application it was.

    Actually Microsoft is communistic software.

Because when you live on total communist country, you dont own anything what you need to use to get your work done, it is owned by "the community" what is actually "owned" by those who controls what is done and when, leaders.

You dont own the software what you use when you use software from Microsoft or Adobe, you just "borrow" it from them and you only pay license to USE it.

In open source world, you can edit the code as you like without releasing changes, as long you dont share/sell etc it. but the community owns the rights to changes if you are traing to get handicap to drive other competitors away from market, so it's easier to stay on market and it lives better ways.

I know a man (now 40-45 years old), who saved his grandmother and two sisters when he was 15, from burning house. He ran three times inside the house of fire, carried first his grandmother out, protecting him with carpet. Then he rolled on ground to stop flames on him self, and runned back to get other sister with same way, rolled again and got second sister away from house.

In this few minutes rescue operation, he got over 70% of his skin, 3 degree burns. His skin was needed to cut open with knive around chest, so his lungs got space to expand and allowed him to breath. This field operation (with knive) was done by fireman who arrive there just when he came out last time. He spend months on hospital because of it. My cousin was then on that hospital as his physical therapist. She nursed him two times a day, every muscle was needed to stretch and one day, when she was stretching his frist gently as on all other days, arteria opened and blood started to spray, the frist was so friable. Even he had "fake skin".

Now, ~30 years from it, he has own family, a wife and few childrens and scars all over his skin.

And then we have a people, who sues McDonalds because their coffee is too hot. And the coffee could give them a 3rd degree burnds...

I think wich one would be more possible to get serious 3rd degree burns, you run inside of house what is totally on fire, not once or two times but three times.

Forget to mention that I have actually never used office applications to other things than typing. I have only changed font size, bold or underlined and I have done all editing with tab or enter. When I started to study on university, I needed to produce good looking documents, what others can edit too (so I didn't just print them on paper), and university buyed us a 2.2Ghz dual core, 2GB ram, 1280x800 computers with 160Gb HD. These includes Windows Business and Office 2007 Student, Microsoft visual studio Express and lots of other open source tools like eclipse, GIMP etc etc. I tryed two first months to do good looking documents, and if you remember what I have before this used (enter, tab, font size), I have totally lost... After the two months, I walked to IT deparment to ask if they can install OpenOffice or Lotus Sympohony, they installed OpenOffice 2.2 and I was amazed, how easy it was just to do all kind documents with it and fill graphics for it on inkscape. I have used lots of inkscape, so I know how to do nice graphis.

But actually, when it comes that I need to do very important, nice looking documents to print/show, I write the text with OpenOffice writer. I make graphics with Inkscape and then I bring all those to Scribus and I make nice looking PDF. I dont fight with MS Office, OpenOffice with that.

I know I should learn latex but... I have managed to do all fine with these three applications, OpenOffice, Inkscape and Scribus.
Lots of easier way than on MS Office 2007, even that I went to one lesson (10 hours totally) to learn it.... waste of time... for _me_!
