    Actually you can see phases on Mars. Not like the moon, but you can see some. I just scanned through about a year and a half of Mars appearance from Earth using Stellarium and it went from full to about 3/4 full.

    I drove up there once around my birthday (mid-September), but not all that fast - I drove an F-150 pickup. I enjoyed it immensely, especially the thick rime covering everything at the station at the top. Do they still claim the fastest recorded wind speed of 230-something mph?

    In my experience (involving a son with congenital heart defects who required several surgeries and ultimately did not survive) parents have to be zealous advocates for their children when in a hospital.

    It also means it is LESS radioactive - in terms of the rate of radioactive decay - that is WHY it stays radioactive longer. If you have X moles of nuclide A and it has a half-life of N years, then X moles of nuclide B with a half-life of 2N years will be half as radioactive, expressed as decays per unit of time. (That does not take into account the energies. A Co-60 beta has twice as much energy as a K-40 beta, for example. )

    Conjuction? It's getting hard to tell who's making errors intentionally for fun (or to deflect criticism), and who's falling prey to Muphry's Law, which I just learned of from this thread. BTW, I don't think that beginning a sentence with "and" is prohibited. Not something you want to do frequently, but not prohibited.

    The "that" is crucial. What is "that"? How many subscribers who don't call to complain about the coverage, signal strength in mW, # of city blocks w/ coverage?
