Blacks not voting for Palin/McCain is like blacks not voting for David Duke.
Tell that to Walter Williams, Alan Keyes, Thomas Sowell et al. I'm sure they'd rather you didn't speak for all black people. That's what Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton tried to do, and where did it get them?
But they taste good not because they are crunchy, but because "We use only the finest baby frogs, dew-picked and flown from Iraq, cleansed in finest-quality spring water, lightly killed, and then sealed in a succulent Swiss quintuple smooth treble cream milk chocolate envelope and lovingly frosted with glucose."
Unfortunately, the Ram's Bladder Cup (which is "fresh Cornish Ram's bladder, emptied, steamed, whipped into a fondue with sesame seeds and then garnished with lark's vomit"), Cockroach Cluster, and Anthrax Ripple are not nearly as popular.
Really? I know of a little girl here whose parents let us know she went to the doctor last Monday with a persistent low-grade fever and a rash, and was diagnosed and getting treated for leukemia (chemotherapy) only two days later. More anecdotal evidence, I know, but I suspect that things don't move as quickly in socialized health care environments.
Am I wrong? (I'm willing to hear that I am, as I don't have any direct experience with such systems)
What's enjoyable to you is not enjoyable to everyone. Some people actually don't like heavy beer.
If it has to be like syrup for you to consider it as having any taste, maybe the problem is your tastebuds.
The article suggests Bremsstrahlung (note the 3rd paragraph of the linked article) of the electrons jumping from the non-sticky surface to the sticky surface of the tape - I guess the air present in a non-vacuum situation lets the electrons slow gradually or maybe have lower initial velocity - that part is unclear from the article.
I understood it to be OK to write or stamp "wheresgeorge.com" on a bill. I even made a stamp for that purpose 5 years ago when I got into wheresgeorge.com.
But how is smashing a penny into a thinner oval with a completely different image not making it unusable as currency (and therefore directly contradicting what you said one sentence earlier)?
The first year I entered bills into wheresgeorge.com I got about a 10% hit rate. Subsequent years it went to zero, and I assumed interest in it had died off. I entered one bill in 2006 and none since. I see that the site still exists (and my account and data is still available).

was/is probably a "singleton".
I lost interest when it seemed like very few of the bills I entered were later tracked.

Most chemical reactions and cooking are faster at higher temperatures, so GP was right as long you allow that ramen needs "cooking" (arguable, I admit).
It only makes sense if you are in a hurry, and no one else is already at the light (coming from your direction), and it is not a timed light, since the light won't change to green for you until you get to it.
Do you mind if I use quote you in my sig? This is a great line.

That's what SHE said.
Sorry, silly me, I forgot to mention that "here" means "here in the US".

PgUp and PgDn: upper right corner of my ThinkPad T43 keyboard.
Sounds like something Steven Wright would say. Or Emo Phillips.
I'd definitely get French Horn Hero - Woodwind Quintet (or Brass Quintet) Version if they came out with either of them.
Yes. You should get a better radio.
A "fuzzy hash"? Seems like an oxymoron. Maybe I don't understand.
I'm sure a field of statice would be very pretty, but not much good as a spacecraft hull.

But that was from God via Solomon, not via Moses.

Usually, I'd rather be right than happy.
In terms of size, yes. In terms of making one smarter, no.
For n = 0..1

e.g. Inkscape, which is currently 0.46! (stable version).
It's pretty arbitrary when to go to 1.0, 2.0, etc., I would say.
Hangs head in shame...
Nice try, but usually the high frequencies are the first to go.
