Oh, so the administrator was just born into his position, or did your company hire them? I was speaking to the people that would hire someone they don't trust for a high trust position in your company - be it you personally or whoever else does the hiring at your place of employment.

I don't know why they just can't make 2 versions - a PG-13 and an R for simultaneous release. You know even if it is tamed down for the big screen that an unrated or director's cut version is bound to come out on DVD. I don't necessarily need to see the unrated version on the big screen as long as I know it will be out later in some form.

Yeah, Christopher Nolan's Batman series of movies is sure losing a lot of money. Oh, and so far Watchmen has made over $185 million on a $130 million budget, so I guess if you consider making $55 million over budget "not succeeding" then yep, that movie sure isn't succeeding.

Well, you can carry that rather large and heavy banner around. I carried it for years and my arms are simply too tired to do it anymore. In my eyes, they have already won - I don't think that every major media outlet is going to issue retractions at any time and start correctly using the term correctly in the future. Plus being a pedantic asshat is pretty fun when you are young, but as the years go by it loses some of the luster. Now get off my lawn!

You can't fight city hall indefinitely without just throwing in the towel at some point. I get sick of having a 5 minute conversation every time the subject comes up (sometimes the same conversation multiple times with the same person), so i just let it go now. Language evolves and once a phrase is out there publicly, used correctly or not, you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. Coincidentally, the folks misusing "hacker" also seem to be the ones that call their desktop towers "CPU" or "hard drive" when referring to their entire tower, or refer to any brand of MP3 player as an "iPod".

All the CIA (or whatever acronym organization) would need to do to facilitate this, is dig up any dirt on the two girls in question (or just flat out threaten and intimidate them), and "convince" them to file rape charges. Because they know that even if not true (and i am not saying it is or isn't), they know a certain percentage of people (you included) will think "where there is smoke there is fire" - so even if it isn't proven in court the damage is done. It isn't like the entire country of Sweden would need to be involved. We are talking about intimidating 2 young females - how hard do you think that would be for seasoned psychological operations agents? Once they filed the charges, the rest would fall into place with no further effort on the USA part.

I was not commenting about whether or not I think Assange committed rape. I was commenting about you asserting he may be guilty of rape becasue he is an asshat. Also, the only evidence is one person's word against another so the only people who TRULY know what happened are the ones that were present. You and I can speculate about it all we want, but we don't have any proof. I am not so quick as you are to condemn someone as a "rapist" with no proof of rape I guess. A charge of rape is just that - a charge. Anyone can make a charge against anybody else.

I do. When I don't have the information needed, my brain doesn't stop processing things and put up an "ERROR". I have to somehow come up with that information through indirect discovery, or make a reasonable guess based on the information I do have. Yep, it is abstract thinking, and while some computer programming can effectively fake some of this behavior, it is far from being perfected.

As for your supposition what separates humans from animals - some primates (chimpanzees, orangutans, etc.) do have opposable thumbs, so that can hardly be a category that separates us. Abstract thought has not yet been conclusively proven in the animal world, but is that even possible to prove or disprove?
