    Several good RPGs now and some are multiplayer. I think we will see an MMO In the next year or so if sales keep up.

    If by on par you mean roughly twice the iPads 613g, sure. The ipad is 8.8mm thick, the P1610 also has a smaller screen then the iPad (8.9"), and is roughly 3.5x as thick as the iPad (34.5mm vs the IPads 8.8mm). What possessed you to make make a comparison. Of course you can upgrade the parts in the p1610, it is thicker than a MacBook pro (24.1mm).

    The original iPad outsold the entire 10 year history of tablets like the p1610 in it's first week. Consumer and business alike have shunned the desktop OS tablet for over a decade.

    You can use any blue tooth keyboard and most USB keyboards today. Apple released a keyboard dock the first day the iPad came out, if that's your thing Wtf would you want a mouse for..

    Not sure why I am always amazed when people at slashdot talk authoritatively about things they know nothing about.. No reason you can't use a real keyboard. No shit. Maybe that is why the iPad has supported external keyboards since the day it was released.

    You actually can write a multi-threaded application for a phone. You can take advantage of a quad-core processor on a system only running one application.

    It is true (for now) because blackout restrictions in place soley to protect local broadcasters. This will change as MLB and others renegotiate contracts..

    -iPad has countless physical keyboards available
    -I have never had any problem loading or using any file on the iPad and I have not connected to iTunes since they day I bought it.
    -I can do this on my iPad as well. For $99/yr (cheap compared to an Osbourne) or using JS, Python, Basic, etc... I can code right on the tablet.

    -I can print directly to HP printers and through a computer to any printer. All this can be done without a port. I can also attach more devices then were ever dreamed of on the Osbourne through USB or Bluetooth. I can output HDMI, VGA, and DVI. I can stream audio and video out using AirPlay. Oh I can connect to the Internet too.

    Uninformed nerds with tunnlevision apple hate are pretty funny, thanks.

    Good point, I can write and execute much more complex programs in Textastic on an iPad then could be built on an Osbourne..

    I can buy an iPad 2, a MBP, and 10 years of developer licenses for considerably less then the real dollar cost of the Osbourne...

    If I then managed to write a program others wanted and I gave it to them for free, Apple will be Happy to distribute it for me..

    I print from my iPad about 20 times a day and ssh about the same amount. It is amazing how undeniably misinformed so many people here are. Printing is built in to iOs , works directly to any of the New HP network printers, otherwise it is easy enough to go through your desktop to use other printers..

    Except of course they can also use blooth keyboards, and even apples bt keyboard weighs very little and takes up no space if you want to Cary it with you and use when you really need to sit down and type something out.

    For a lot of document formatting, the touch screen (for me anyway) versions of pages / numbers have proven to be far superior to word and excel.

    Best buy sells both the iPad 2, the Xoom, and the Tab. The ipad2 has ha supply shortages since it launched and I guarantee you it has outsold the other 2 combined.. I know this does not dispute your main point, buut it does show even when there is a choice in a single store, people still choose iPad..

    Huh? Given the context of this story you look silly. There is not an announced tablet that is even in the same league as the iPad 2, certainly nothing that is better and cheaper.

    While there are some phones with better specs then the iPhone 4 (which is almost a year old), none of them have an app market that is even in the same universe..You basically said anyone who does not agree with your assessments of device quality must be a fanatic.

    IOS had 82.7% of the App market and the iPhone has over 50% of the profits in the mobile phone industry. It is an unstoppable force today.

    Android's Marketshare would matter to developers if it was a single platform that developers could exploit, it is not. We have heard as much from two major game developers in the past 24 hours. There is not a single combination of hardware and OS, or even reasonably similar hardware and OS that comes anywhere near the iPhone 4's Marketshare, and nothing in the same universe of the latest iOS devices in each category combined..

    One day google may turn Android into a competitive platform, it is not today,
