You are correct. Perhaps we should punish things that students actually do, instead of what perfectly normal and safe items they posses have the potential to do if a kid is an asshole. With the schools logic they should ban all paper products from the restroom, cheese, any fruit juice...Well the list goes on forever.
Interestingly the article he is reacting to did not say "takeover" it said impact. He can claim there is no impact, but he would be wrong. The other numbers show at least a correlation of an impact. His own numbers shown an impact. I suppose if you lie about what the person you are responding to said it is easier to prove them wrong.
Not sure it is useful to use crack babies and street crime to judge the healthcare system:)
I do agree that a lot of Americans have brought the BS the right has been selling for the past 20 years. Our healthcare system is (was, probably still is). People have enough to worry about when looking for a new job and should not have to live in terror that a family member will get sick.
The folks in the UK seem to have a whole pile of misconceptions of their own. Our healthcare spending is higher because we need meaningful tort reform (something both of our major political parties oppose). I assure you if we had a loser pays system of torts our per capita health care spending would go down some.
It would never go down all the way because American consumers bear the brunt of the costs for most of the worlds pharmaceutical research. (Perhaps folks in other countries should say thanks for the cheap drugs instead of throwing numbers in out face.)
I was using Linux before SLS came out and I can assure you for most people, Windows is in fact a better product than Linux. OS X gets slowed down because it is targeted at a premium market because Apple is concerned with profits and not market share.
Linux still has a lot of issues that make it difficult for most people to use as their primary OS.
Your clearly on a rampage to try and convince people who like their ipads that they shouldn't. Guy who owns one says the on-screen keyboard works for him. You point out you touched one once and it sucked. It is getting kind of silly.
Use it all the time. Virtual keyboard is fine for most tasks. (Well for me all tasks, but I assume someone will come up with something they do in VNC that requires a lot of typing of odd characters).
I played a fun game and actually predicted the entire text of your response before I even scrolled down. This person explained why he liked something and you tried to tell him why he was wrong for liking it..There are countless times where the iPad is a far superior device for surfing the web for some people than a laptop. The real question is, why would you pull out a laptop when all you want to do is look at a web page, read a few emails and watch a video?
Did Microsoft distribute the apps and as many free updates as a developer wants? Did Microsoft process payments? Did Microsoft distribute free apps and collect nothing at all?
There are 10s of thousands of apps on the appstore hosted by Apple that generate no revenue for Apple. They get nothing on free Apps today. iAds will not be required for free apps, and people will still be able to host free apps even if they use other ad solutions.
The Gnash developers also acknowledge they are most likely violating the Adobe TOS and they hope to avoid being tied to them by not using any Adobe software at all.
A company like Apple would be sued long before they released their own flash player.
Why don't you advocate Adobe drop all of their licensing restrictions on Flash and allow everyone to develop their own flash players. If flash is that important you should demand Adobe give up control of the spec and allow the free development of flash players.
(Note I know more about gnash than you do, if your response includes anything about gnash or any other open source flash player it means you have never read their faq and have never read an Adobe licensing agreement).

Which explains why almost all public school regulations are zero-tolerance ;)
A candy Czar must be appointed immediately.
Unusable? Really..Compared to what? You have driven off the cliff into fantasy land.
I am sure you will have some other reason when there are 10 million sold at the end of the year.
We all know who Steve is. Paul at times pretends to be an independent analyst.

In summary, Your Welcome..
If you assume he works 5 days a week and 48 weeks a year it is only 119k, not 1 million.....
You also described 75-80% of the people I know that bought netbooks :)
NM. I am sure you know how ridiculous your comment was :)
You would not be in the demographic for the iPad, perhaps you should buy a netbook.... The market it still exists it just became a different niche.
Your clearly on a rampage to try and convince people who like their ipads that they shouldn't. Guy who owns one says the on-screen keyboard works for him. You point out you touched one once and it sucked. It is getting kind of silly.
Wear a black turtleneck and no one will notice your jeans. :)
Use it all the time. Virtual keyboard is fine for most tasks. (Well for me all tasks, but I assume someone will come up with something they do in VNC that requires a lot of typing of odd characters).
It works remarkably well actually. The overlay keyboard in most VNC iPhone/Pad clients is more than adequate for 75% of the things I do in VNC.

There are tons of free games in the App store.. It actually costs Apple money to distribute them and they do not make a penny on them..
Did Microsoft distribute the apps and as many free updates as a developer wants? Did Microsoft process payments? Did Microsoft distribute free apps and collect nothing at all?

Your argument makes no sense.
How again does Apple make money by hosting the countless free apps they already have available??

There are 100million devices out there running iPhone OS and they sold 8 million iPhones in the last QUARTER. Your numbers need some help..
I think you missed a few decimal places on the European billion too.
