I agree. After all, the alt-right is a Millennial creation.
The alt-right is an infinitesimal minority. They're the vanguard with all the old racists behind them. Look at how many people show up to these alt-right rallies. Usually in the dozens, if that. They've got Bannon (old) and Mercer (old) behind them, but they don't even have the numbers to muster a baseball roster. Wherever they go, millennials who are opposed to them vastly outnumber them.
If Trump can convince voters to remove both republican and democrat obstacles in 2018 then things will finally be on track.
If Trump could convince anyone of anything, his approval ratings wouldn't be in the toilet.
Remember, Trump tweeted a dozen times about the Virginia election, praising Gillespie and attacking Northam, and Republicans in the rural areas basically said, "Nah, fuck that guy. What's on TV?" Meanwhile, Democrats did better in Republican districts than they have in 100 years.
Brother, there's a corrective wave coming that's going to take Donald Trump right off the map. Lots of people thought, "Well, how bad could he be?" and now that they know, they're ashamed they voted for him. Except for the racists. They're his hard-core base. And now that Flynn and his son are about to be indicted or flipped, the impotent rage of those aging racists will be wonderful to behold. I expect the number of aneurysms in the Southern states to spike next year.
Millenials are, upon the whole, the worst fucking generation ever birthed by mankind.
I would argue that the Millennials are the finest generation to come along in my lifetime. They're certainly better as a whole than my generation.
I find millennials to generally have good moral compasses, compassion, great work ethic and the courage of their convictions. I think that's why they seem so universally hated by other age cohorts.
How did it take you more than three minutes to read the summary, only to come up with a quote that does not explain HOW they can exempt themselves from the law?
The law itself has provisions allowing for exemption mechanisms.
Yeah, don't start partying yet. From what I see all that is happening is democrats are ether getting reelected or more democrats are just replacing democrats. Not really a big win for democrats as the status quo doesn't change.
Democrats picked up 14 seats in the Virginia House. The biggest Dem win since 1899. It had previously been controlled by Republicans. Washington state senate just flipped from GOP to Democratic control. The Republican whip of the Minnesota legislature was replace by a Democratic Socialist. The Republican who wrote the Virginia "bathroom bill" was defeated by a transgender woman.
It's not just "democrats replacing democrats". But look, if it will help you sleep tonight, OK. I'm not trying to upset you.
I would be interested in where you got this information from? Probably from the same place that predicted Hillary would win in a landslide.
It is not a prediction. The candidates that Donald Trump endorsed lost tonight by much bigger than expected margins. The elections are over and the votes have been counted. Even the Virginia House flipped from Republican to Democratic.
I would also like to see the data that you have that says Trump is an ineffective leader.
He hasn't been able to get a single bit of his landmark legislative agenda passed. The greatest deal-maker to have ever lived can't seem to cut a deal.
All of the polls...all of them, including the right-leaning ones, show Trump at his lowest approval ratings since he was elected. Here's a conservative website that has the news for you:
That's useful. I usually dream about banging Bayonetta or showing up to my PhD thesis defense stark naked.
Anyhow, if my non-healthy sleep habits haven't killed me by now, they either won't or have already done their damage.
I used to think like that. Before I got married I used to close the punk clubs in Chicago and get up at 7am for work. Somewhere along the way, I learned how much more I can do if I sleep.
Great for my old Hockey injuries too.
I once dreamed, during the Blackhawks 2013 Stanley Cup run, that I had skated out onto the ice in goal in place of Corey Crawford, only to realize I was naked. A psychiatrist could have a field day with me.
Sleep is one of my favorite things to do. My wife thinks I'm crazy because I always insist on a very expensive mattress and sheets and stuff. Duvet covers, shit like that. But man, when I hit the rack at night, I sleep like a little baby boy. Still wake up with a boner, even at my advanced age.
Seriously, listen up you younger Slashdotters: Do not neglect your sleep. Sleep long enough to get dreams, because dreams, even nightmares, are really good for you. In fact, I've noticed that when I have one of those nightmares where you jump straight off the bed gasping, I go on to have a really good day. I don't know about the science of all that, but you want dreams. Unfortunately, the dreams you want seem to come at the end of your sleep, but you have to have had a long enough uninterrupted sleep.
No. Absolutely not. We do not want corporations to have offensive capabilities that are beyond the legal system. How do we know that the corporation will only retaliate against a real perpetrator? What checks would there be on their paramilitary power?
It's bad enough that we have transnational corporations with what amounts to their own private armies. Don't give them more power under any circumstances. If they don't like the response that the FBI, Interpol and other law enforcement agencies are making to attacks on their systems, maybe they could start paying their taxes so law enforcement can improve its response.
I have an 140 lb Neapolitan mastiff who doesn't like strangers. I'm thinking that allowing Amazon to have a key to my front door could save me a ton of money on kibble and chew toys.
Maybe this means taking a step back and coming up with a less "green" solution in the short term so that people have a better future in the long term.
We've been coming up with less "green" solutions for a couple hundred years. Maybe let's try something else.
Also, it's one thing to say "the air is a little too clean" and another to say "let the world burn".
Oh, that was only one example. How about Energy Secretary Rick Perry saying, three days ago, that burning fossil fuels can prevent sexual assaults.
I'm sorry, my friend, but the current administration is very specifically, and very literally saying "let the motherfucking world burn" every single day. If you really want me to give you many more examples, let me know, but it will have to wait until tomorrow, because I'm relaxing and listening to some music right now.
Strange how they don't dig up even bigger dirt during the globlists' cabals like the Bushes, Clintons and O.
Judging from the size and scope of Donald Trump & Family's dealings with shady overseas "investors" and "stakeholders", it seems like he may be the real globalist among recent presidents. I mean, he's surrounded himself with people who either straight up lie (Sessions, etc) or have terrible memories (Sessions, etc) when it comes to meetings with oligarchs, Russian con men, pro-Kremlin "lawyers", etc.
Has there been a single member of the Trump cabinet who does NOT have some shady business deal or a history of meetings with Russians? Maybe Betsy DeVos, but her brother is a war criminal who can't set foot in the United States and maybe Rick Perry, who may be the stupidest man ever to set foot in the White House.
Before we pat ourselves on the back, we should remember that the Trump administration just appointed a man to the EPA advisory board who believes that the air in America is, "a little too clean for optimum health".
Helvetica was created in 1957.
Trump administration EPA adviser believes the air in the US is "too clean for optimal health".

A third of millennials would rather own bitcoin than stocks.
Forty-three percent of millennials prefer socialism to capitalism.
Discuss.

The ballot initiatives that will allow the communities to build their own networks were only passed yesterday.
They're going to need more than 24 hours to build their municipal networks.
The law itself has provisions allowing for exemption mechanisms.
You can put all the "venture capitalists" in a wood chipper for all I care.

Not true, thanks to Trump being so ineffectual as a leader. In fact, Trump is the one nosediving.
Look at tonight's election results to see what American voters think of Donald Trump.
Because the data suggests that if Donald Trump is against it, there is very nearly a 100% chance that it's the right thing to do.
My wife says the same thing.
