I used to use spamassassin. Now all I use is a couple DNSBs (mainly to keep out mail sent from dynamic ips) via postfix and greylisting. That is enough to keep spam down to a couple a month, which is low enough for me to not bother setting anything else up. This may change any day though.

My stomach cringes when I hear that. Here, the insurer is not even allowed to request information like that to sign you up. It is too bad that health care reform failed, again, recently. If I am not mistaken, this was one of the issues to be be reformed.

That only talks about very specific emissions from the tobacco itself not taking into account at all any additives nor any compounds created by burning those additives.

  13. Why do ingredients not have to be labeled? on Research Suggests Tobacco Companies Add Weight Loss Drugs · · Score: 4, Interesting

What really blows my mind is that there is no requirement to list ingredients on tobacco products. Labels are required on food items so why not on cigarets? One could argue that it is even more relevant since anything you smoke goes directly into your blood stream as opposed to the multiple processing stages food takes when you ingest it. This is unbelievable and the only reason I can think of is strong lobbyism by tobacco companies.

I noticed something else today. I used to be able to check a checkbox to disable ads for my worthwhile "contributions", that has now disappeared. On another note, I am also noticing that there apparently are a lot less mod points going around lately. A lot of useless comments never get moded down and worthwhile comments linger at 1 forever. I used to get mod points continuously, I haven't gotten any in months now. Not that I need to be a mod, but it seems like the system is not working as well well as it used to.

Maybe he is confusing AIM with AOLs purchase of ICQ later on. Then Skype came along, with it's killer feature voice support. Now I am stuck with Skype, but cannot get rid of it. I am trying to use Jabber as much as I can, but it is difficult if not many other contacts use it. Jabber support from Gmail, Facebook and iChat helps somewhat. It is really great that you can just host your own Jabber server and by your real email address be your Jabber account.
