I used to use spamassassin. Now all I use is a couple DNSBs (mainly to keep out mail sent from dynamic ips) via postfix and greylisting. That is enough to keep spam down to a couple a month, which is low enough for me to not bother setting anything else up. This may change any day though.
Sounds like this is the best way it could have ended. No censorship. You almost sound like you are regretting that it failed. Of course they could always purchase the tech from China.
My stomach cringes when I hear that. Here, the insurer is not even allowed to request information like that to sign you up. It is too bad that health care reform failed, again, recently. If I am not mistaken, this was one of the issues to be be reformed.
I am just curious: you have no health insurance? Where I live, I am actually required by law to have health insurance. I have not had health insurance for a while even so and I had to pay quite a bit of money to get back in.
That only talks about very specific emissions from the tobacco itself not taking into account at all any additives nor any compounds created by burning those additives.
What really blows my mind is that there is no requirement to list ingredients on tobacco products. Labels are required on food items so why not on cigarets? One could argue that it is even more relevant since anything you smoke goes directly into your blood stream as opposed to the multiple processing stages food takes when you ingest it. This is unbelievable and the only reason I can think of is strong lobbyism by tobacco companies.
I noticed something else today. I used to be able to check a checkbox to disable ads for my worthwhile "contributions", that has now disappeared. On another note, I am also noticing that there apparently are a lot less mod points going around lately. A lot of useless comments never get moded down and worthwhile comments linger at 1 forever. I used to get mod points continuously, I haven't gotten any in months now. Not that I need to be a mod, but it seems like the system is not working as well well as it used to.
Wish the problem wasn't just some random, cheaply written software. On my Android Phone, Skype really grinds everything to a halt. I am sure this will improve when it is under MS control.
Obviously, Linus wants to follow Mozilla and speed up the release cycle by only releasing full version number releases from now on. Expect the 4.0.0 kernel sometime in the fall with no point releases in between!
Then we will have reached perfection of the modern human. Independent, electronic thought machines acting autarkic shaping and controlling the world we live in. However those machines may decide to start infighting, destroying all infrastructure and/or removing the pesky humans all-together. Maybe stupid humans in front of "dumb" PCs is the best we can hope for;)
Not sure what he is talking about. I never had an AIM account nor did any of my friends really. ICQ was another story however, everyone and his dog used it. Maybe he is confusing AIM with AOLs purchase of ICQ later on. Then Skype came along, with it's killer feature voice support. Now I am stuck with Skype, but cannot get rid of it. I am trying to use Jabber as much as I can, but it is difficult if not many other contacts use it. Jabber support from Gmail, Facebook and iChat helps somewhat. It is really great that you can just host your own Jabber server and by your real email address be your Jabber account.
Years of practice!
I find that an incredible success. Let's up that it scales.

Not sure what you are talking about. It says it is 29$ for the full version: http://www.amazon.com/Mac-version-10-6-3-Snow-Leopard/dp/B001AMHWP8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308295261&sr=8-1
This video is not available in your country? Great, I really feel left out. If anyone has an alternative link, pleas post.
It is a big fight, I know it well. I wish you success.

You are arrogant and apparently no nothing about journalistic writing. But you do seem awfully content with yourself so all the luck to you.

/. should just use a chair. *ducks* (literally)
That should really be the default setting.
Nonono, tin foil is for hats!

This is again is a review by one of those paid review Services, judging by the tone.
Finally, a post worth reading and it is actually informative. Thank you. Mod parent up
