What I want to know is how to get them patched with a non-admin account. I want to allow already installed apps to update themself without allowing new aps to be installed by the user or being able to make other changes to the system.
This has ben bothering me a whole deal as well. I could never understand why it was legal to use tem in cars, as they are so distracting. Niw i see you posting that a lot of people do not notice the effect. I have always figured everyone did, but just didn't care. I have always hated CFLs at offices, grocery stores etc. and now they are invading every home.
Interestingly, LO crashes randomly when saving a document while OO does not. Maybe it's a fluke on my system, but that's how it is. Drove me crazy until I decided to try OO, not believing that it would actually help. Using OS X SL.
I've always been under the impression that it is fine to use anon@example.com as a fake email address for sites that require my to enter an email address to prevent spamming real mail servers.
I agree, I think this could actually make a viable system. It seems similar to what Stream does with their constant sales and package deals. I doubt they ask the developers every time they temporarily adjust sale prices. Of course you as the developer could adjust the price yourself, but I really think that would be a too big of a burden and few devs would actually do that on an ongoing basis. Let's also assume that Amazon (like Steam) wants the highest possible return on app sales so they will probably work towards your interest in pricing schemes. I think it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Between greylisting, filtering out dynamic ips and some sanity checks with postfix there isn't really much spam getting through. So little in fact that I have stopped scanning email content which means absolutely no false positives.
Because, in an unprecedented way, editors at/. do not actually edit. Meaning it feels like all they do is aggregate news, instead of moderating, proofing, and yes, editing submissions.
The only thing a positive scan tells me, is that it is time to rebuild which is a pain in the ass and I have skimped on it before.

This is a plausible theory, but I am curious are there any references for this?

There are plugins for this in Chrome, which last time I checked weren't without some imperfections though. Also great for reading forums etc.
Just tiny technicality, what's wrong with "sudo su root" ?
Citation or looking for a funny mod?
That must have been the last time I attached my old 3.5".
You, sir, are a turd.

In Russia? I doubt it.
They should have made a few more web servers with the Thing-o-Matic *ducks*
Oh yes. My theory is only the developers them selfs actually know how to use it.
mod op up
Awesome no numbers. Can't wait for HTML Vista or HTML Hardy Heron!
It seems like to me you have never been to http://www.whitepages.com/
You are kidding, right?
Thankfully, this is not 4chan.

There is something to be said about the Net never forgetting. This is the oldest file I can think of and it was originally uploaded amongst others to the crack section at WUArchive: http://www.gamers.org/pub/games/uwp-uml/romulus/cracks/dark-legions-crack.txt I am surprised it has survived this long.

Life saving tip, nice.
