    This is why your understanding fails. There is no end.

    What is really so complicated by these simple examples:

    1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 3/3 = 1

    And since 1/3 exactly equals 0.333... we have:

    0.333... + 0.333... + 0.333... = 0.999...

    And since the two sums are exactly equal, 0.999... equals 1. It's not really that magic, and your normal daily life will not be affected. It is, however, true.

    Do you know where to find this information online? I'm a little handicapped trying to google up things like this since I'm not a U.S. citizen, so I don't really know where to start. Still, it would be interesting to see.

    What leaks are you talking about?

    First of all, the leaks doesn't show the US in a bad light, actually, it only shows the US government acting in their interest, trying to impose the laws requested by their big media and pharma industries on other, smaller, countries. It's the people in the other countries that should be ashamed that their respective governments are caving in.

    Second, why should releasing the cables and the banking memos be mutually exclusive? Going through the documents to sort out what's relevant and not is not something you can do in a day, especially not when all your funding and computer time have been cut.

    We can punish these authoritarians by voting them out of office. It's actually a pretty good system, though far from perfect.

    Precisely. With wikileaks, we might be able to solve the last puzzle, the issue about accountability and how to verify that our elect leaders didn't actually lie.

    How could one possibly know that the current government was doing something wrong, unless what they actually did was revealed? That's the thing with democracy, you see. You need to be able to evaluate your leaders, not only vote for the biggest smile and hope for the best.

    I think the issue here is that the blind people would like to be able to pay attention to the cars as well. I'm not sure that increasing the noise level for everyone after finally having cars that doesn't pollute our "soundscape" is the best idea to solve it.

    You have the "right of way" to walk in to a biker's bar dressed up as a hippy, chain yourself to the wall and yell "All bikers are fucking fags". Doesn't mean normal people do that, because even if you have the right, it can cause major internal bleedings.

    If you're blind, you should probably not jump out in the street without first finding a safe place to do it. Car noise or not. Most bikes travel fast enough for a very unpleasant meeting.

    Are you talking about the pentagon now, or what are you actually talking about? Because the last I heard from the government of the United States is that the leaks did not contain anything that would endanger human lives, even though they said so before the leaks were published.

    That was long before the accusations against Assange, that may or may not be true.

    The crime was committed on Swedish water, so apparently it's the Swedes that are supposed to prosecute. The guys even confessed. The prosecutor, when pressured by the journalists about extradition, is quoted saying that he dropped the case because he can't get hold of the two Irish guys, and that they save extraditions for serious crimes like murder.

    It gets even more hilarious when you compare this case with the case of Joachim Posener, once described as Sweden's most wanted man, suspect of running off with a large amount of stolen money and hiding abroad for a decade. He was later questioned at a Swedish embassy in Belgium. No problems there.
