This would be possible if more resources were diverted to fighting organized crime (and spam). Some countries do it, some don't.

This is great. Advertisers pay for ads, I get to watch the show. Same model we've used all these years in television. This would be help make broadband look good for the telecoms, and gets the web to a place it could really replace television broadcasting. And if the interface would be as easy to use as a television, there would be no barriers for widespread use.

Could be the end of "there's nothing good on TV".

Hey, I got modded flamebait... There goes my Karma. My wording was a bit harsh. If Azureus is great, why would you switch to uTorrent so quickly? The only feature you'll be missing is cookie logging (which I suppose, is good for users no single IP address). Azureus is a feature-rich client. It's multiplatform. It's user-friendly. It's open source. Then why do I think it's bad to have it as a leading BitTorrent client?

Because they keep pulling these extra features: extended protocol, IRC client, content layer. These would be fine, if it weren't that the software is already unresponsive, crash prone, and resource hungry. Isn't Azureus already too big for its own good?

  17. Re:I can only hope on Azureus Inc. Moves Toward Commercialization · · Score: 0

If you're using Windows, switch to uTorrent. It has all the features you mentioned -- enctyption, decentralized tracking. On other systems... uTorrent running on Wine? Virtual Machine?

  18. I can only hope on Azureus Inc. Moves Toward Commercialization · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Their choice to bundle adware will decrease their market share. Their BitTorrent client is slow and enourmously resource hungry. They don't belong in the most used BitTorrent clients list.
