    So, now, the Linux machine is more expensive, and perceived to be worse.

    This is not good if you want Linux to succeed in the marketplace. Well, this strategy of being worse and costing more seems to have worked well for Microsoft all there years.

    What I'd like is some simple tweaks to the interface.

    For instance, the ability to delete photos by range (e.g., this photo and all previous ones). Useful when you download the photos to the computer, forget to delete them from the camera, and discovers that after taking one more photo: shit! Now you have to delete all the other 400 photos one by one.

    They are already doing that, e.g. encrypting the firmware in the 350D model.

    Fedora 9 will be launched soon, they could have used the beta.

    Fedora 8 could be compared to Ubuntu 7.10

    The only thing that has no dimensions is the abstract mathematical concept of a "point".

    Even a single proton has dimensions.

    The nVIDIA engineers who designed the chips are, well, pretty busy designing chips.

    Yes, we can make better drivers for Linux, and maybe Microsoft can make better for Windows.

    Even if that is not the case, they wouldn't be responsible for quality of the drivers.
