    Funny, just now I was checking the Roadmap for Inkscape. SVG animation is planned for the next-next release (0.48, it's 0.46 now, 0.47 will be basically some internal re-factoring).

    Unfortunately, multi-page support, which was the feature I was looking for, is planned for 0.49 (or 0.50?).

    Yes, it is so much more relevant.

    1) Linux servers don't need X/KDE/e17/etc

    2) X/KDE/e17/etc can't exist without libc+shellutils+gcc

    Dude, real people have been killed because of an Xbox 360. What kind of metric is that? People get killed by a bottle of whiskey, by a kiss, by belonging to a prejudiced minority, and a lot of sillier motives. You're right, it's no valid metric.

    Oh, and there's a military laser project named after it. Neither is this.

    enough people call themselves Jedi to make it a religion. People calling themselves something doesn't make them so. Do they live by the Jedi rules?

    It's simply physically impossible for a movie to have had as much of a chance to become as world-changing (for better or worse) as the Bible is -- it's simply had more time. Time counts, but not on a linear scale. Modern media and communication means takes the whole process to a completely different level.

    Why would anyone even consider using Adobe Reader, when there are plenty good alternatives around?

    Kpdf for KDE, Evince for GNOME, xpdf for minimalists.

    Btw, the resolution of the screen is 800x480 (7") on the first gen, 1024x600 (9") on the new ones.

    It's not just more mobile. It's more like, actually mobile.

    900g vs 2400g of most notebooks makes a lot of difference. Besides that, the AC adapter is very light and small too. It's a qualitative difference, not a mere quantitative one. It actually makes sense to carry them around whenever you go.
