I've yet to see someone ask for AMD processor, probably because we are in a hot country.
Even my HP customer ask for Intel base Processor.

The 1100 line is design to be a low cost line. If you get a Dimension 1100 with a celeron processor you probably won't need PCI Express anyway.
That's why they have different line of product, to fit anyone.
