FreeBSD 4.1 Released

well except for the fact that many ISP's use FreeBSD and the largest ftp server in the world (ftp.cdrom.com) uses FreeBSD. I assume you get your usage figures from an unreliable source. Maybe you monitor all the root exploit patches and who downloads them. That would show that RedHat is used by gazillions (yes gazillions) of users worldwide.
my level 42 amazon will appreciate one of these since i forget sometimes to turn of seti@home when im playing D2 and well its messy when you walk into a room and it lags for a second until you in the middle of 8 fallen shamen on hell mode and proceed to get the equivalent of hot grits down your pants.
Actually, many companies make charitable contributions. But in reality, that would only decrease profits. I doubt they take profit cuts for these donations. So you are actually making charitable donations when you purchase their goods or services. I'm sure you would rather choose which organizations you donate to. Also companies donate a percantage of their profits to charity in another model. So you can help certain charitable organizations by buying their products. How noble of them. But in either situation, charity creates a positive image of a company. I did help a local small run church school for the disabled to upgrade their computers and did some other related things for them. They did give me some unused and older hardware and I can always use them as a reference on a resume or as a reference. So its arguable if it was actually charity, but the school is in a better situation because of it. So just look locally, people would love help.
Anyways "Charity" is just the buying and selling of another commodity. People feel "good" for helping others. People put their charity and volunteer work down on resumes and college applications. People tell others about their charity work. So is it truly altruism? I think not.
I looked at the page and it mentions a bit of where Star Wars came from, but it neglects the biggest thing of all.
Star Wars came from Akira Kurosawa's "Kakushi toride no san akunin" known in the USA as "The Hidden Fortress" go to your video store and rent it, you'll be suprised. Just like the "Shichinin no samurai" known in the USA as "Seven Samurai" was used for "The Magnificient Seven" which was used for "The Three Amigos." Seems we owe a lot to Kurosawa.
only if you agree that 500000000 is the same as 500000000. the old "a=a" property. I forgot, was it the identitive property? I think i'll deny the indentitive property as being factual this week.
And you can make digital backups of your cd's too. You just can't sell/lend/broadcast/give away those backups or recordings. Not that i agree with all of those, but legally, (if Japanese copyright and trademark law is similar) they should be in the legal right. But either way, with or without the law, its a pretty damn stupid PR move.
You mean we all get Aerolink (it's aerolink right? i don't remember) wireless ethernet bridges and dishes on our roof. That would seriously 0wn. Then we could call it the "Undernet" , but then Effnet and Dalnet would get jealous. But that would be cool. expensive though:)
yea that tee-hee chick is annoying isn't she? She must be the actress for all those anime films. And why the hell do they have the fortune teller lady?
ahh but private ownership could charge any fee they wanted to. Then you could have contracts with pricing plans (perhaps free nights and weekends, but expensive long distance travel) and it would become more of a circus than the cell phone market.
maybe he should get windoze 2000, i hear its very friendly. Kinda like Sloth from the goonies. Stupid....but friendly.
confuse "your" and "you're?" you're an idiot.
