As a lot of people have stated the science still needs to be done and come to a conclusion. Though cellphones are the least of are worries from EMR. We have are friendly neighborhood star that bombards us with all kinds of energies that get through are magnitosphere, if you live in any populated area you have all the local radio stations blasting out radio waves in insane levels of power, cell towers, the earth it self due to are core and the production of the magnitosphere. Powerlines, and generally anything that caries a current. Of course you could just walk around in a faraday suit.
You stole my comment. Just to add to that they where also taking bets on it as well. Although I don't know what they would have done if the atmosphere though.
It doesn't really matter if a cellphone is giving off radiation anyway, simply because it's such a low dose. In perspective we are constantly bombarded with radiation from the numerous radio towers in every city. Where I live there are 30+ stations each pumping out a signal at untold amounts of power 24/7. Then there is this little thing called the SUN! This thing has been blasting us with every type of radiation we can think of. Sitting in front of your computer is far more hazardous to your health than talking on your cell phone. Then again I'm using a some logic and common sense which doesn't seem to apply to scientific studies anymore.
Right now I'm seriously debating this whole human caused global warming stuff. I have a few reasons for this, first most of the people who are yelling and screaming about global warming are the same one that were screaming about ozone depletion. After a few years of real science and not the agenda driven drivel that was being spewed it turns out that are ozone layer actually developes and repairs it's self all the time. Secondly people are ignoring the very real and tangable evidence all around us, geology. Simply put are world is a dynamic and changing enviroment. Lakes turn to deserts, tundra turns to farmland, the planet on it's own heats and cools. The whole notion that man is the sole cause of global warming is a bit ridiculus simply because it assumes incorrectly that the planes ecosystems and enviroments do not change. Finally there is the big hole in the human caused global warming issue, the ice age. About 10,000 years ago this planet was cover in 70+% of ICE, but yet the planet heated up and the ice melted. How did this happen? I doubt it was cavemen driving around in prehistoric SUV's, or Wooly Mamoths farting to much. The planet of it's own accord heated up to melt the ice and bring us into a warming trend. Then we go through early civilization to the French Revloution. It was during this time that the planet experienced a small ice age. There again though the planet went from cooling to heating again. We as humans don't are just barely scratching the surface of understanding the vast planetary changes that can occur on earth.
Of course Novell could be in serious trouble here if they alter GPL code and then license it as something else. Or they could use all there developers and create a whole new software suite that they could license and distribute how ever they wanted to. They could call it MS/Novell compatibilty suit. This software package could include everything needed to use Windows or Novell Linux software for either platform. Or it could just be a software sweet like (insert name) office were you will have no compatibilty issues with either OS. This package could include who knows what maybe AD compatibilty for Novell Linux or full NTFS support. Hopefully you get the idea here that Novell just doesn't have to use other peoples open source software to work with MS on this deal they can simply create there own.
HD-DVD being delayed. That's not a very big problem considering only about 5-10% of the population owns high-def tv's anyway. A lot of people here also have the right idea that people are more interested in portible content right now, but this should change as the price of HD-TV's go down. All I can say is that at least this format isn't being developed by Sony. Heaven knows what they will do with there format. Which would explain why so many more studios are going with it. Honestly this has been fairly interesting to watch.
I can see the masses switching to macs. Basically becaused the masses are hopless sheep that don't have a clue about computers in the first place. Honestly mac's are for idiots you plug them in and they work no knowledge what so ever. As for me give me a high end personally built pc (that also cost half the price) with linux and cedega for my gameing and I'm good.
Yes, soon the XO laptop will get down to $50 each!
