After you throw the hook over a line and jab it into the insulation, how do you take it back off? I didn't see the video address this and the shape of it doesn't seem like it'd be easy to get back down?...
I suppose that could facilitate some anonymity but that just seems a bit paranoid to me. Why not just use Tor if you want to do your dirty work, no need to even leave the house. And if you don't want your network being used by outsiders, don't allow access... I have a wireless access point from my home available to the public, just to be nice. I just cap it's data usage.:)
Forget the information contained in the networks, even since street-view came out I thought it was a shame they didn't list wifi networks with gps coords, encryption type, signal strength and the detection date. It was neat seeing my house one google maps but I'd be more excited to see my network signal.:P
I wonder if horse carriage makers were super pissed about automobiles. Maybe a half-assed attempt at competing with online distributors is due diligence for the stock holders of brick and morter game retail stores? I doubt there's even going to be plastic, physical media much longer, all the consoles already have built-in digital distribution mechanisms and internet just keeps getting faster. Any business that currently depends on selling plastic cds to be solvent should either be furiously brainstorming new business models or packing up their desks and putting down a deposit for uhaul trucks.
Those tv commercials are so awful, they make no sense. I think they're saying people are too fascinated and in love with their phone, and win7 phones are going to fix that for you.... wait, what?
And launch parties?... Like that travesty for windows vista?
I thought Microsoft was supposed to be a juggernaut of advertising, maybe their strength is advertising to corporate types.
Somehow I doubt that the manufacturers of these new manufacturing devices will be the targets. Companies that produce blank CDs or mp3 players weren't really the center of attention. The riaa's primary focus from then up until now has been the mp3 files used to make the discs. Once desktop manufacturing is sophisticated enough to produce desirable gadgets the focus will probably be *solely* on the CAD files.
Hopefully open source designs will see a boom once that happens. I always thought popular music would shift away from record labels after digital music and cheap, widespread distribution methods became available.
there's going to be a HOLE in the INSULATION.
Not to take a joke seriously but since the spike is a razor blade, the damage to the insulation is probably minimal.
