    It's not any good. Google doesn't even have a truly working syntax, any more. You can try and force specific phrase searches all you want and the "AI" or whatever they're using goes out and grabs "similar" terms anyways, to add unnecessary things to your results. You can exclude certain phrases or words all you want BUT if they are one of the "similar" terms to something else you're searching for, they will still show up. Google is totally broken with all of its "smart"-ness!

    I've run into this a few times in the past couple weeks. Really annoying when the excluded words are explicitly searched for.

    Why is someone in the government so stupid as to think that googling for pressure cookers and backpacks would be terrorist activity? Maybe googling "backpack that can fit a pressure cooker filled with black powder", but even "backpack pressure cooker" isn't evil unless the chili you plan to bring to a cook-off is so spicy that it will kill someone with heart trouble.

    He lied in the name of protecting his job from congress. That's a very different thing.

    Gravity is not the reason why supports are used in stereolithography type 3d printing, shrinkage is.

    Gravity is sometimes the reason why supports are used in both STL and FDM. Shrinkage is the reason why George repeatedly shouted "I was in the pool!"

    Just watching Star Wars in HD on a friend's TV gave the soap opera effect. It was very disconcerting to watch the princess witness the destruction of Alderaan with a cheesy feeling to the scene as there was too much detail on some things and too little on others.

    I am more skittish with the pesticide resistant genes since with horizontal gene transfer the resistance may pass to weeds and make the pesticide basically useless.

    I believe you mean herbicide.

    Huh, I always assumed the fake Banana flavoring was a result of "close enough, lets ramp up production and market the hell out of it" rather than actually tasting like an existing fruit. Like all of the "grape", "strawberry", "watermelon", and "cherry" flavors.

    I'm not sure that applies. Spinach copies it's DNA into a foreign host using a totally different mechanism.

    many animals have been maimed and suffered for a long time because of stupid hunters using inadequate round for the game they're hunting.

    That's how humans hunted for all of prehistory. Minor wound, then track the animal for miles until it bleeds out or exhausts itself.
