    Then the question is "how much energy does it take to crack the oxygen back out from the acid?" Start burning that hydrogen everywhere for decades and we'll have a little less oxygen in the atmosphere. Ordinary water cracking leaves the proper amount of H and O for future reacting.

    Kill each other.

    This sounds bleak, but it's right on target. It's the most effective way to keep wealth high without worrying about rampant overpopulation due to enormous free time (I suppose forced sterilization might work too). Once the CEOs (sociopaths) of the world own enough robots to replace all manufacturing and enough for minimal food production, expect them to try to reduce human population numbers en masse. If you want a Wall-E or Time Machine society of layabouts, then we'll have to work hard at curing sociopathy.

    Take for example McDonalds. At this point the employees do not even have to fill the drink cups anymore and just hand them to the customers (currently on trial in many places).

    On trial? It has been that way for more than two decades. The only fast food place I can think of where the customers don't get their own drinks is Chik Fil A.

    And those engineers will be looked down upon because they have to work. "Filthy engineers, I hear they eat meat to power their weird brains.     There are times when RMS acts like a animal rights activist. "Free the users! Users want to live in the wild!" *opens user cages* "What the $^#&? Hey users, stop going back in the warm cages filled with food. Find your food in the cold harsh wild!" "We should build barriers around the cages so that the users have to live in the wild."

    And it seems silly until you realize that we're talking about users who really should know better than to give up freedom for minor convenience (not even security which would at least be partly understandable).

    "only 20" = not a kid. Fully grown, legal, contract-obliged, come-of-age adult in just about every civilisation and jurisdiction known to man. By at least 2 years, I should think, in most places.

    Legally. In reality, since so many 18 year olds who have never worked a day in their lives are going to college these days, people are mentally remaining kids until 22-24 years old. Remember that the US voting age limit used to be higher.

    When sentences start inviting questions like these, no wonder no one remembers them word for word.

    You do realize that this isn't solely an NRA fantasy. It's why the founders (those who agreed in codifying a bill of rights) felt the need for the 2nd amendment.

    Because it can open up security holes. The government was set up in a certain way to prevent tyranny. When you start restricting rights because they don't match the social norms of the current culture, you create a power vacuum when the people have their power thus reduced. Tyrants, even if they didn't cause the reduction of rights, will surely take advantage and fill said vacuum.

    Car analogy: You find it slow to enter your car and your neighbors' dog sets off your car alarm. Why isn't it a good idea to remove the locks and alarm on your car?

    the rest is for the states (and the people). The second amendment is not part of "the rest". Would you think it okay for New York State to change its state constitution such that it can pass laws violating rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? It's not Fedgov so anything goes?

    I don't want to live in a country in which the government makes decisions about who is "good hearted" and who is not, and in which the government regulates everything that I might do to harm myself or others. People should be punished for actual harm they do to others, not for improper thoughts or their capacity and resources for committing crimes.

    What then, is the difference between murder and self defense? Intent is crucial to determining guilt for many crimes, especially the non-trivial ones.

    I would like to see documented cases where an otherwise-innocent civilian with no connection to the military, to law enforcement, or to private security needed more than ten rounds, or was harmed for running out of ammunition over ten rounds...

    Not to go all Godwin on you, but I'm sure there are plenty of cases in Nazi Germany, Russia, China, etc. And that ties in better with the Second Amendment better than self defense arguments anyway.
