    now you are lying, here is the reality "Tesla supercharging stations charge with up to 145 kW of power, or up to 16 times as fast as public charging stations; they take about 20 minutes to charge to 50%, 40 minutes to charge to 80%, and 75 minutes to 100%. The charging stations provide high-power direct-current (DC) charging power directly to the battery, bypassing the internal charging power supply"

    Yes, binary is faster for a journal. The core dump in the journal is optional, configure it to be written to a file or a journal.

    Thats a distro issue so have a go at them if its not to your liking. If the wheel was not reinvented and improved, i'd be stuck with Wordstar on DOS. pulseaudio works fine and has done for a while, sometimes you end up going backwards a few steps to eventually go forward.

    i don't think anyone argues that it didn't. Its now being done a lot better with more information and logging earlier and later in the startup/shutdown processes.

    Only 3 dependencies. The fact that gnome depends on systemd is the gnome devs fault, its the choice they made. There were other options, including a bypass written by LP for them, but they chose actively maintained systemd-logind over the un-maintained consolekit.

    The systemd binary and the systemd project are 2 different beasts, (they should have renamed the project to stop the confusion) once that is understood most of the anti-systemd comments vanish. The system does have 3 dependencies systemd, journal and udev. All the other binaries in the systemd project are optional.

    bollox. do some research. every EU law/treaty has to voted on in parliament, we are not obliged to make the law as it can be voted down in parliament. The "power" in question is stopping the Prime Minister becoming a North Korean dictator - the civil war in the 1600s was just about stopping "Royal Prerogative" i.e. dictatorship

    yes, but they should be principled enough to override the public if its in the county's interest to do so. but most politicians don;t have the balls to do that and its always self and party before country.
