it is probably happening in usa, u.k. etc too. but, the difference is, the governments there are not so clumsy as to go on using everything they find out by leaking it to their supporter media. they are probably using those much more wisely. how do i know ? well, the entire listening equipment and infrastructure here in turkey was bought and installed by american corporations.
despite original ipods, ipod line had not been discontinued, service to ipods has not been ceased, and the buyers of the ipods are still able to play their music, whereas zune customers got shafted by drm.
making 80% of your population slaver away for minimum wage, while top 1% of the population gets 50% or more without even working ? and the top 5% get 72% ?

point being, it doesnt matter how many smaller quakes do these plants survive without issue - just ONE major failure may render a good percentage of the land mass on the planet a wasteland, and the fallout/effects from it can affect everywhere else in chain due to its effects on biosphere.
