    While I agree with everything you said, the third parties in our country go about things the wrong way. They consistently run candidates for President and Governor, but never run for congress, senate or state legislatures. They need to build up the brand a bit if they want to be accepted by the voters.

    America has never lived up to the ideals and principals we espouse. From the Alien and Sedition act, to the genocide we committed against Native Americans and Filipinos, the McCarthy hearings. None of this is really new.

    I did mine in Arizona, it was about 13 years ago, but the fee was $50 you were required to notify people who might have an issue with it, but there wasn't any real definition of who that might be. There were also no residency requirements as far as I can recall (I had just moved there a few weeks before, I know I didn't have my license changed over yet).

    I think it more likely that we will be able to extend lifespans to thousands or hundreds of thousands of years through cybernetics/cloning/brain transplants long before we can achieve near-light speeds.

    Simpler solution. Eliminate fines for motor vehicle offenses. Use a points only system. Rack up x number of points, one month suspension, more, 6 months, then a year, then permanent. Let the points decay at a reasonable rate. Should affect all drivers equally regardless of wealth.
