I have had drivers licenses in Minnesota, Michigan, and Utah. And the neither Michigan nor Minnesota used the SSN for the Drivers License number. Utah also doesn't use the SSN for the drivers license number, but it is an option to put your ssn on your drivers license (isn't that just a wonderful idea?).
In this particular case I am all for no one EVER linking to their site. including all search engines as well as all other pages and idealy all DNS servers too.
Comparing its location and that of the Sun, the robot can calculate where the shadows of hills and mountains fall at the time. Hyperion then is supposed to plot an optimum path to avoid pitfalls and shadow.
from the times article it sounds like given that information the robot is going to have some sort of terrain map and will use its position and the sun's position to calculate the positions of shadows around it. (although why it doesn't just look, i don't know.)

there already is. its title is "Java and XML". It is an O'Reilly book. It can be found here at fatbrain.
Yeah, but that won't matter in a few years when all software is subscription based. there won't be anything to resell.
sucks, doesn't it?
Nice troll. One small point that i would like to make is that you can't do SMP with the P4s, but you can with the athlons.

As i read this story my fortune reads "Television is now so desperately hungry for material that it is scraping the top of the barrel. -- Gore Vidal "

"Millions of lines of [Insert Your product here] Motif get written and not one word about it leaves the company doors"
doesn't everyone know products that they wish word never got out about?
Shatner singing the theme song can't really be worse than Chuck Noris singing his own theme song (for Walker Texas Rangers).
From reading the majority of comments here we all sound like damn whining bitches.
Oh wait, this is slashdot. carry on.
Obviously the bad guy is the one who is winning... at least in this case.
