  1. Re:Bananas too on 100 Things We Didn't Know This Time Last Year · · Score: 1

"A banana is a tree-like plant (though strictly an herb) of the genus Musa in the family Musaceae, closely related to plantains. The term banana is also applied to the elongated fruit (technically a false berry), which grows (in edible species and varieties) in hanging clusters, several to many fruits to a tier (called a hand), many tiers to a bunch." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana

I won a decent amount of money on this.

I know it's not strictly a board game but I cannot remember the last time I lanned with this group of friends. Lanning was a regular event, now its like why did we bother?

The depth in this game is amazing due to all the possible combinations of cards. Every one seems to devlope their own play style and deck construction. Ive only been playing about a month but in that time I've played nearly every second night. Its well worth a look if you can get past the "thats way too geeky for me" factor. My mum saw a game and decided she wanted to learn how to play.

The main problem with globalised business is that there are no global authorities who have power over these businesses. For 'globalisation' to work, everything needs to be global - governments, aid organisations and courts, as well as corporations.

As heard at Melbourne S11 protest - "I don't care so much that they're taking jobs from here, we can get welfare, but when they take them from us and give them to people who they can pay slave wages, and destroy the environment at the same time, that's problematic"

Monsanto could push all the sterile seeds it wanted all they would have to do is buy out the seed companies. Then over time they would just to a microsoft and sneak it in so every farmer was paying them each year for some thing that is normaly free. This terminator gene sort of all ready exzits its called hybridasation. I dont know how many people out here in net land have ever tryed to plant the seeds that have come from a hybrid tomato plant. Let me tell you, the tomatoes grown are full of imperfections. So each year the back year we have to go back to the plant farm and fork out more cash for tomatoes. "theres no such thing as a free meal."
