After the disaster that was Age of Conan I will not be folling a Funcom MMO for a looong time. If they manage to pull a quality product out of their ass then good for them, I'll try a 14 day trial at some point. No more waiting 2 years to be disappointed in a game that promises so much and delivers so very little.
Given the fact that communication is 55% Body Language, 38% Verbal, and 7% the actual words used, how does this work? Over the phone has got to be tough enough given that you are missing 55% of communication.
Perhaps they'll use vent?
So... As near as I remember ever single player game used to come with a whole slew of "Cheats" to be used by whoever, whenever and for any reason. Commander Keen had things like screen clipping where you could fly through the walls in the level, or fly mode. Age of Empires had things where you could turn the birds into dragons, get babies on tricycles with shotguns or cars with heavy weaponry. Since when is this new? Heck I remember some games having an "I win" button. Can anyone tell me how this is different from the age old era of 286 and 386 video games?
Heck now that I think about it, what about game sharks and other such devices designed to unlock cheats in the game? up up down down left right left right a b b a.
A friend of mine works for a company selling the iPhone 2. According to him if you lose your iPhone 2 you will 1. Have to pay full price to get a new one (not too surprising imo) and 2. Re-sign up for a 2 year contract... Also according to him the employees have been instructed specifically to not mention this fact to customers.
Pretty screwy to me. Then again I am ignorant of how most cell phones work so I don't know if this is standard or not. I'm assuming based on his reaction its not.
I should have made that clear. I'm an avid user of P2P. I was just calling the freedom of speech argument bullshit. The backdoor aspect to the way they are trying to outlaw P2P is terrible. Not to mention it doesn't deal with the actual problem of piracy in any way it just moves it to other mediums. Still though fight for P2P with legit arguments. Not random BS.
Uhhh just how the heck is freedom of speech deal with p2p? This is bits and bytes we are transmitting and stopping one method of transmitting while not others is not limiting your freedom of speech in any way. Thats assuming that somehow magically it did deal with freedom of speech in the first place.
Yes! MacGuyver is my childhood hero. I would prefer Richard Dean Anderson to play it regardless of age. Its just not the same without him as MacGuyver. Just like it wouldn't be the same without Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. I always thought it was cool how'd he'd craft all sorts of nifty inventions with just what he had on hand.
I definately enjoy it. Its pretty neat being able to play games from pretty much all the consoles. They keep adding to the list of games and now that they are getting current day games it just got better. And yeah you just log in, find a game, download and then play. There are alot of games you can't even get / play on their too. Plus with any of the emulated games you get the benefits of an emulator. You can hit escape and save your state right in the middle and come back later. Or use it as an in game save for the fun of it.
hmm kindof funny that I hear about this on fark.com but from what I've heard this game is going to be sweet. (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/702/702389p1.html ) Right on the IGN website too lol. If this actually pans out I think it could be one of the greatest games of all times easily. Just imagine hitting someone and watching them fall back realisticly and not only fall down but respond to their environment while falling down and possibly even catching themselves all in a natural manner. Anyhow here's a link to the natural motion website http://www.naturalmotion.com/pages/le.htm it even has a non-realtime demo you can play with.

Since this is Japan are we sure that they won't be cybernetic super fish? All hail the new fish overlords!
I was thinking of the one for a basketball game. By doing A B B A you got a guy who could slam dunk all the way across the map.
