try emacs keybinding. you'll notice thats also bash's default. use escape for meta. You may have noticed the tremendous acceleration curve on the mouse, thats so you can flick you mouse up to the top when you need. Otherwise, simply learn the keyboard shortcuts, they go faster than menue hopping anyway.
really? it even says "Creative Professionals" in the post. the jist of it is that Final Cut pro is apparently dumbed down. some of the commenters can point at features loss but many aren't. Now the article says that there's no CAD on the mac and I beg to differ when AutoCAD just rolled out a new version specifically for the mac. They overhauled the software just to do it.
i guess its because of the large volume of content that one of the largest digital distributors is loosing right? Help me out here. Otherwise its just a content retailer loosing the right to content. Netflix lost its novelty to me after youtube started distributing movies.
wow, I have done exactly this. But only once. well, twice but I live with my family and I have a MBP and the rest use a Kubuntu installbecause the iMacG5 died. I just got all the files off its hard drive. im turinging the old HD into a backup (even though its probably unstable)
seriously, this is just like those people who sell paint.net I single this out because its not under an OSI license. Its not about license its about people downloading things they know nothing about. people don't research everything they download. Its hard to do good research when there are things like astroturfing so it actually looks like the walled garden model of protecting your users is starting to look valid. Linux distros count as a walled garden if we are to call the community the gardeners who approve the software in the repositories. I would like to point out Fedora resisting to put SQLninja in their repositories as gardeners that people have been pissed at. I dont like the truth of what I'm saying. GNU/Linux and open source is about putting the power of the computer into the users hands, getting away from the priests that curate our computing experience. This freedom can't happen if the people in the bazaar can't be trusted either, we must encourage people to think for them selves but teach them the way to discern the truth so they can tell the good venders from the bad ones.... hmm, I think thats what lulsec is doing but this post has gone on long enough.
There's a bit of a difference between this application and itunes wirelessly syncing. Mostly the fact that your ipod isn't syncing with your computer, its syncing with the itunes music store and downloading your purchases as if i was another authorized device to the music store. I am also happy that, now, I don't have to ask Apple Customer support to let me re-download all my music free of charge when my harddrive died a couple months ago
They say future products but right now all they claim to support is embedded systems and their Opteron. No mention of desktop processors like Phenom 2 or their 6 core ventures or Fusion. I'll look up what the Llano APU is.
there are plenty of architectures specific vector instruction sets on the CPU that the kernel could be taking advantage of instead; for example SSE and AltiVec for x86 and PPC respectivlly.
I Second and Third this notion. There is an effort. You may have heard of Wayland. One thing I like about the Linux Community is their eagerness to move on to a possibly better solution when it presents itself. Systemd is an example of this, the very fact that we're using X.org instead of Xfree86 is another. I find the UI innovations of Gnome3 to be refreshing, i am willing to live with the pain if it means that we still get innovation on the front.
don't feed trolls. If he was the kind of member slashdot wants, he wouldn't have complained and just look it up. we dont need lazy people who walk into conversations and ask whats going on.

thanks :-( i should have RTFA or at least asked if it was the same thing.
this is a fast application of the Poincare conjecture. It was only solved a few years ago.
do mac users use adobe reader instead of preview? I'd like to see that data out of pure curiosity

funny, whats more news worthy is that a SPARC chip reached the top. That hasn't happened in like a decade has it? (i haven't checked it in a while)
can't luslec and anon attack china china and Russa and N. korea

or VIS for SPARC

I thought it was funny.
if you really dont like the name of the program, just call it the GNU Image Manipulator
... im going to let it slide that a line is not a curve. Do you mean Discontinuous? I hadn't noticed.

Thats why the mouse acceleration curve is so high.
i believe you should switch to fluxbox.
newbie = happy advanced user = unhappy
sounds about right to me ^_^
"every man is the hero of his own story" (pardon the sex bias)
