Yeah, you are right, Netscape Communicator is becoming far too bloated. Hopefully, some folks will get together and create a slick open source browser, with extended features that can be added at will.

They're not moving in on Slashdot's territory, they're taking the social moderation aspect of Digg and applying it to general news rather than just tech stuff. Which is exactly what Digg planned to do later this week or next.
And hopefully this trend will result in a renewed appreciation for editors.
I'll give it a chance. It does, after all, have the brand name of a portal site thats flopped about eight times previous to this. And an outdated web browser that passed it's prime in the late 1990s.

Against jewel cases, books are an even trade or worse. Frequently-played CDs are doomed from the constant friction of being pulled in and out (despite the protective pits, dust and debris do get in and do some damage); not a lot of artists clearly label the CDs themselves these days; and if you actually fill one of those books they begin crumble under the weight of the CDs.
I struggled with books vs. jewel cases vs. slim cases for years. The only viable solution I found was made by Apple and cost more than my stereo reciever.
There is one very good reason: my wife would not be alright with me buying a DS Lite unless it could replace my iPod (which she understands is essential), in addition to letting me play New Super Mario Bros.
