My Motorola Droid was as stable as I could ever ask for. It's pretty outdated now but sometimes I think about going back to it for the stability. Nobody could understand a word I spoke though it though. I don't think that was Android's fault. There was something with the audio hardware.
My Samsung Stratosphere the only Verizon phone with 4G & a physical keyboard:-( " sucks. People say I sound way better with it but it's always running slow, locking up, etc... I really want to put Cyanogen or a stock Android with no Samsung baggage on it. They did something proprietary with the radio interface so that cannot be. One thing I still have to try though... replacing the SD card. Often the slowdowns and lockups seem to revolve around accessing the SD card, maybe it is just came with a crappy one.
I'm pretty sure all the current manned space programs also prohibit their crews from drinking. All those tons of rocket fuel, multi-billion dollar equipment and drunk driving are not a pretty combination. If we ever have StarTrek like craft I'm sure nobody will want their crews drinking either.
Is 'Fair Trade' a term or a trademark? Do we really need separate words to describe every company that does the same thing? The thing that makes language useful is that the same sounds represent the same idea. If every example of the same thing gets it's own name then we might as well give up on talking. We can draw pictures or maybe just point and grunt.
Besides, if somebody wants to enforce a trademark on something like 'Fair Trade' than I for one am not going to give their product any preference over that of a company that does not make that claim. I might even purposely not buy them!
Obviously they just want my money and don't really give a sh!t about 'Fair Trade'. What they are doing, making it harder for others to stand out for not using slave labor actually makes it harder for consumers to know which brands certify their beans to not come from slave labor and which ones don't. Thus.. they actually are hurting that cause.
Buy my coffee because I won't let others tell you which brands don't use slave labor? Yeah, right, I know a place you can sell that coffee...
Put it on a weather balloon without quite enough helium to get to it's bursting altitude.
Or.. put them on a dozen balloons.
I suppose they would be found and shot down... eventually...
Yes but they check the gas pumps because in the past crooked gas stations with rigged pumps were common. People noticed and now something is done about it. It should be no surprise that businesses in other industries are cheating that same way. Will the customers catch them often enough to get the regulators to act on it? I don't know but I don't think enough of the customers are likely to know the difference.
Wow, you think I was stating that Romney would be less likely to start wars than Obama? I guess you only read the 1/2 of my post that you disagreed with. You should move here you would fit right in! I'm simply stating that both options sucked. One may suck less but they are both really bad.

That would be planning for a future that may well be beyond the current generation's interest. Most people can barely plan for tomorrow! Besides... if we really did plan for the future we would try harder to move away from petroleum as a fuel anyway.
It's sad that there are so many people are so ignorant... and vote! Nobody hit the US and then hid behind Iraq. Iraq was not about 9/11 or any other terrorist issue. The religious zealots that hit the US would have been as welcome in Iraq as they are here. As a secular dictator Saddam and the extremists got along about the same as we do with them and when he found them in his country he killed them. I'm not saying that Saddam and his people were good... they did terrible things and hurt a lot of Iraqis but they had nothing to do with anything that happened to the US.
The people who actually 'hit' the US hid in Afghanistan... For a while. Then, after the US removed the government which refused to help us find them they crossed over to Pakistan. They got away with living there for quite a while in part because the Pakistanis were better at playing politics and in part because the US was too busy trying to clean up it's mess in Iraq and Afghanistan to go looking for them.
Well...they did (further) destabilize the middle east and created a lot more terrorists so yeah, I guess that could have been there goal. And here I thought it was just a short-sighted side effect.
You mean instead of a president who would have taken us into war with Iran where we would no doubt quickly remove a very evil government only to be mired in an unwinnable war against an even more evil insurgency for the next decade we have one who takes the decision that people live or die into his own hands maintaining a kill list that nobody besides a few of his friends are privileged to see or know how people arrive on the list.

Right! Nobody wrote fiction before copyright laws existed!

Correct! Let's follow it a little further, where are those companies even based?
BP = BRITTISH Petrolium
Shell is a US based subsidiary of the non US based Royal Dutch Shell
Exon is US based
How's 1 out of 3?

Yes, he did. We escaped together. We are the only survivors of that universe. That's how it was worse.
Oh, Yah, 59,583,302 to 56,960,530, a 2.25% difference. It really looks like Americans are totally convinced they got what they wanted.

Somebody still reads newspapers?
It shouldn't be hard at all considering that there is an Arduino library for emulating a keyboard.
he can give them to me!
Considering that the computers are all inside of grounded metal boxes how does this work?
The US is unlikely to face an enemy capable of procuring chicken wire and a generator?
Balmer doesn't need that! Microsoft needs that! And if Microsoft had that what would it need Balmer for?
