The discoveries went way past those of the Greeks and Romans and I think it is precisely because they were monotheists. If you have a religion where every occurrence is chalked up to the whims of a God you don't seem to investigate further. If you believe in one God the creator of the universe you start getting curious about his creation and delve into the details.

I am an engineer and a Catholic. I've come to the following conclusion. God created the universe. The way to look at this statement is as an answer to how the universe was created not as to there is a God what did he do. So the only way to know God is to study science. Learn the rules that govern how his creation works. There can be no conflict because if there is a disagreement between any stance between religions and facts than facts win since they are the direct observations of the universe. Religion is very similar to economics in that it tries to understand humans and society and come up with rules to follow so we can lead happier lives. Sin seems to be built into our being. When you do something that your regret later there is most likely a sin involved. Learning about sins is a way to remind you that what you are thinking about doing you are going to regret later.

I make Mon, Wed, Fri my BS days meetings, email, telephone, ect

Tue, Thur are my work days. I shut the phone off close email and just work.

This works out nice because I'm never more than a day late responding to calls or emails and it doesn't piss too many people off. My immediate supervisor is aware of this and generally leaves me alone those days and if he does need something he waits for lunch or the end of the day.

Our money supply now is based on credit. So when the housing bubble burst and all of the mortgages defaulted and foreclosed on we were going to have a massive deflation because we have been accustom to the money supply. Why didn't we? Because the Fed created Trillions of dollars out of nothing and gave them to the banks to prop them up, along with enriching their friends along the way. When you are creating Trillions a few Billion is easy to lose track of you know.

But as we know you don't get something for nothing. Who got hurt? The savers and those on fixed income. Their savings is being wiped out. Actually not wiped out, it's being stolen.

Deflation isn't a problem. There is just less money and it's more valuable so prices and wages are forced to drop to adjust to the new money supply. Who does it hurt? Those who are in debt because they have a loan that they have to pay off while making less money. It also hurts the bankers since more people who can't pay their loans will default on them.

But those that lived within their means and saved do better since the money they have is worth more.

So who does the government and the Fed help the responsible little guy that never got into huge debt or the banks and those that borrowed every last cent?

    You guessed it.

You have a basic misunderstanding of economics. This is not your fault as the media does everything it van to confuse you.

First don't mistake money for wealth. You are right that money is accumulating at the top because those at the to control it's creation. Fiat money which we have today can be created out of nothing. Heck it used to at least be paper which could be burned for fuel when it became worthless enough. Today it's just bits on computers. The Federal Reserve is creating money in order to bail out it's favored companies, people, and governments. The effect is like all counterfeiters the value of your money goes down. Notice fuel and food prices? More dollars chasing less goods. Because right now most people mistake dollars for wealth they use dollars as a store for wealth. This is dangerous as it allows the Fed and banks to steal wealth by creating dollars. Since 2008 there has been a massive tansfer of wealth from the average person to the connected using this method.

What is wealth then? It is an attempt to measure things you have that people in society value. This is why you can crewte wealth. You can create wealth by doing something or making something that didn't exist before or transforming materials from a less desirable form to amore desirable form. Like turning or into steel or steel into cars. Each of these processes crests wealth. Digging a hole where someone desire it creates wealth because they valued a hole where you dug it. Also trading creates weath. The store values your money more then the goods it trades your for amd you value the goods more than the money. Both parties are wealthier for the trade.

The solution is simple. Try to keep your wealth in things that other people want and cannot have value stolen by counterfeiters. Gold, silver, iron, land, oil, lightbulbs, cars. Even stocks should have their value based on things the company owns but this too is subject to much manipulation. Air is harder for the rich to come and steal your land although they have been known to do it.

The fact is medical travel exists in order to avoid government regulations. Ameicans go to Europe or Asia because there are treatments and drugs that exist that the FDA doesn't allow us to take because they are the masters of our bodies. People from all over the world come to the US for rapid access to treatment if they have the money because their countries socialist healthcare causes shortages and long lines. People in the US go to poor countries for treatment they can afford because the AMA keeps a stranglehold on medical schools and licensing to maintain their cartel. Drugs are expensive in the US because the government bans people from importing and because you require a prescription.

Notice all of the roadblocks put in between the patient and the product or service they want. Some are so bad people have to leave the country. Wouldn't a system where people and companies are actually free to deal with each other work better?

All you need to secure airplanes are what we had before, metal detectors plus maybe strengthened cockpit doors. That's it. The ice cores don't immediately trap the air. It gets caught between snowflakes and slowly over time gets compressed to the point it becomes ice where it is mostly trapped. The problem is the point from when the snow falls until it is locked up will act like a filter averaging out the CO2 level on the order of many hundreds of years. So we don't really know that CO2 levels have never been higher. We only know current levels are higher than any running 500-1000 year average.

It's a completely different process. But in order to see if it is cheaper you do to see what the costs of designing and building your dies are vs hiring Jesse to do it.
