I feel that this is a great read for anyone.
It's a true story with a bit of fictionalization about a group of boys in a West Virginia coal mining town during the Sputnik era.
It recounts their undying efforts to 'git 'er done against strong opposition.
it's not DNA. DNA is a specific chemical compound.
It sounds like these people found some arsenic in the bacteria and decided, with nothing to base it on, that it was part of the organism's DNA.
If they know who the absentee voters are why not just mail them a ballot instead of spending the typical fortune that gov. bodies spend on such useless projects?
Some of the fault must be applied to all of us. Every time we get the sniffles, we run to the doctor's office and antibiotics are prescribed even though they do not toucn the cold or flue virus.
This is nothing but an attempt at a transfer of wealth from us little guys to the news media folks who are nothing but another bunch of fat cats.
An even worse thought is that of the !@#$ government dolling out to the media iif they behave the way the government thinks they should.
Me also thinks this woule be a violation of the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
I have been doing software and systems for almost 40 years. I have knowledge of "fundamental architecture of computing and programming" as well as the tools to "necessary to build complex projects in a sensible manner." I also know "why things are typically done a certain way." Am I a software engineer?
The software engineering student is not an engineer in the sense of electrical or mechanical engineers. They are exposed to the CS "engineering" steps as is anyone involved in systems for any length of time.
IMHO the software engineering degree is little more than a glorified CS degree.
So, if I tell you about a good book, am I in violation of the author's copyright? How do such absurd things manage to advance so far in the legal system?
I went over 40 years and finally retired without touch-typing-- so there.
Is Apple beginning to get like M$?

Busy dudes.
It seems to be doing it just fine all by itself.
Just apply for a taxpayer grant to pay for your paywalled access to the material...
but I'm not convinced that the IR image shows either water ice or ammonia.
Wrong. Take a look at the page source...
Nobody posting on this thread has ever evenseen COBOL code!
I spend hours getting the bugs out and you want me to GROW more?
Hell, I'd do it for 4,000 pounds a year per desktop and save them a bundle...
Rainbow trout do not migrate to the sea and back. Perhaps your thinking of Steelheads.
The sky is falling. Again!
Yes and Google does not make a dime on all the advertising.

Typical HP garbage.
And you think you are getting reliable information from the newspapers?

WTF does the stock market have to do with the real world?

So, just WTF is a "software engineer" anyway?
WTF does what the market think of a company's stock have to do with the real world?
