At 1 gig/second you could download those things you want to try HD within 10seconds anyways, no need to store the internet on your computer.
I'm more curious what this will do to the p2p scene. Right now torrents will rarely cap my meager 600KB/s download. If there were a few people on the torrent seeding w/ 1Gb/s it would easily cap. Unfortunately Japan rarely uses torrents. I'm wondering if it would be easier at this point to switch services. Annoying to write fresh code to remote control the new p2p ap though. In case people are curious i believe a lot of these mega users will be migrating to japan's "perfect dark" application as it has a requirement of 100KB/s and a 40G allocation for hashes. I think i'll give it a whirl today.
Many people have been popularized through the internet. The cost of this is 0 for marketing/advertising i'd say about 100$ for producing to get good computer recording gear (Increase after a few hundred thousand sales to rent a recording studio for songs). Overhead costs being a website for lets say 20$ a month (start costs will expand with viewers aka customers). If you charge.10 a song and sell a 'cd' to 6M people every month ala nickleback everyone in the band gets 1million per cd made. Though I think more cds could sell seeing how its going for 1/10th the regular price. Then with advertising deals and concerts they can probably make that again. So a band without dealing with record companies could actually end up making more than alot of signed bands. Because of the ease of entry into the market (under 100$ for a band is like a night out). And because they will be charging so much less per song it is more likely customers will buy all their songs rather than picking and choosing cds. The only groups I wouldnt suggest this for are ones targeting people that arent internet users, best of 50's dance or w/e.

Erm i did say cultural heritage was a major factor... I can take out your assertion of the economic issue, countries with comparable wealth have more crime with more religion. Though as you said the inverse could be and i believe is true as well. Style of economy again you can disprove with stats using areas within a country to some degree. And i never said there was only one factor i'm sure there are many i just said that religion is a bigger indicator than homogeneous people.
Well statistics prove that.... Look at a list of countries with high levels of religion and a population over 1million. You get a list of the countries worst plagued by violent crime and war. Many of them are in africa...Mauritania Somalia Sahara...
Banning firearms had a fairly negligible effect on crime. Attempted murders continue to drop yearly and murders while having a slight increase in 2004 really it doesn't matter. Violent crime in 2007 reached a 30 year low... murders being even with what they were just before the gun laws were introduced.
for 65$ (cost of a regular game) you get wow with 4months..... I dont normally stick with a game longer. And if you look into mmos there is huge server costs and pretty big dev fees. And players stick around for 5+years some of them thats WITH paying per month. If it was wrapped up into 1 payment you'd be looking at a 200$ game or more lol...
Scandinavia is the least religious place in the world explaining well the lack of violence. Compare that to homogeneous places in africa where violent crime is incredibly high. Or compare that to Canada where we are very multi-cultural but have fairly low rates of crime. A country being homogeneous will i think lower crime but it is NOT a major factor. The places history, culture and religious fervor seems to set the pace.
