Pot laws at least in Canada have little to nothing to do with libertarians. The vast majority of Canadians approve of pot legalization. It is opposed by social conservatives. But support of marijuana legalization is the norm in much/most of Canada.

I believe that the planet earth is the outside of the universe. The surface of the planet facing inwards. As you get closer to the center of the universe everything gets smaller and smaller. That is not to say that anything actually shrinks, that would be ridiculous. What happens is that one unit of distance is comparatively smaller compared to here on the outer edge known as earth. If you think of it this way the big bang would have occurred near the centre on the universe, and stars swirl around on the inside, sort of like a snow globe in space. If we really want to learn about the nature of the universe we should be working towards the outer edge, that is to say the earth's 'core' as the uninformed scientists of the world like to call it.

There is another theory that the universe works much like a video game and simply wraps around when you make it to an edge (one of the edges cuts through Camden I hear). But do remember that this 'theory' is total bullshit. Arbitrarily making Camden the wrap around point makes no sense.

Either they aren't enough lumens (sometimes by a lot) or they are directional. This might not be a big problem if someone designed your house with floodlight style bulbs in mind but they didn't. So for MOST purposes, not all CFLs are the best option.

Once these two issues get sorted out they will crush the market. I believe they will crush the market so completely that lightbulbs will come with the house and will turn into something you get at a hardware store once every 20 years. Houses will be designed with them in mind since they have some design advantages. They are cold, so you can safely enclose them and cram them into tight places. They are nigh immortal, so you can put them in places that don't need to be even remotely accessible. Embedded into the ceiling behind a screwed down panel suddenly seems reasonable. Same with putting lights VERY high in homes with a loft.

Of course changes won't be apparent for a number of years since homes change rather slowly in north america. But in Japan where they treat houses like disposable camera You'll start seeing some of the effects the new lighting has on homes.

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

"Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images." (Note God himself directly telling you to OVERTHROW AND BREAKDOWN other religions. If that isn't direct I don't know what you want.)

"He who sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed."

I'm sure I could find 30more citations like above showing that "the LORD your God, is a jealous God" and is totally intolerant of other religions. Suggesting otherwise is either impressively ignorant, willful denial or an outright lie.

Uhhhh it works as a tractor beam just fine. FTFA:
"The device works by shining a hollow laser beam around tiny glass particles. The air surrounding the particle heats up, while the dark center of the beam stays cool. When the particle starts to drift out of the middle and into the bright laser beam, the force of heated air molecules bouncing around and hitting the particle's surface is enough to nudge it back to the center."

So if you take two or more lasers place them on opposite sides of where you want to pull something. Point the lasers at the object. Then slowly turn the beams towards the middle. Tada. You've pulled your object to you.

In other news, I only use repulsive forces on with hand to pick up things (other forces too minor to consider), yet some how I still manage to pull things towards myself.
