If I post a badly written article about evolution does that mean Darwin's ideas were bad science?
(btw I know that Darwins conclusions have since been superseded)
If you're a real chemist and you want to see a more verbose explanation of what these guys have discovered then contact them/their university. Most readers of slashdot aren't chemistry specialists and so the laymans explanation is just fine thank you.
Could the "spontaneity" of the process be useful in space? As the technology is applied to different materials perhaps as a protective covering? Or a growth medium for "Biological cells and tissue" in zero gravity. Certainly the extremes of temperature ("the surface with the molecules was annealed to spread the molecules. During cool-down to the temperature of liquid nitrogen, the hexagonal pattern emerged.") requiried for this phenomenon would be easily reached (but controlled?) in space.
Maximise all windows, ALT+TAB between them if you want to go back to a recently visited window, otherwise disappearing task bar. Quick launch for common apps with "reveal desktop" and file manager/my computer shortcut. Page up/down to jump a page at a time, cursor up/down to scroll.
Right click context menus, windows classic taskbar.
Let me see if I can explain what I mean. I am an end user. I am trying to send email from my home PC, using Thunderbird to my private, hosting company supplied, password protected, smtp server. AOL is hijacking this email (sent from port 25) so my hosting company has set up the smtp server to accept (password authenticated) connections from me (using thunderbird) on another port. How is this not exactly what you are describing? Sorry if I am not clear/using correct terminology...
To all who think the police should be left to do their jobs and nosey citizens/moaning hippies etc should mind their own business, I would draw your attention to a long running news item from the UK concerning Jean Charles de Menezes [wikipedia.org] who was mistakenly shot(at close range, seven times in the head and once in the shoulder) on a tube (subway) train as a terror suspect.
Initially the Met admitted their mistake but claimed that the suspect was 1. running away, 2. Jumped over the ticket barrier and 3. was wearing an 'unseasonably large/bulky coat' (which may have concealed a bomb). All three allegations were disproved by witnesses and some cctv footage (a lot of the most important cctv footage is 'missing').
No individual officers will be charged with the killing , it has been decided that the Met will go on trial as an organisation...
Sorry I'm not a postmaster/expert but I beleive your 'simpler' solution was the same as my (probably badly explained) solution 2 i.e get the smtp server to listen on a different port
This is what AOL do in the UK. The problem is that I use different SMTP servers for different addresses, many use SPF to make sure that my mail is being sent by the correct SMTP server so when it is discovered that my email has been hijacked by AOL and sent with their own smtp server it is rejected as spam!
Solution 1: Don't use AOL,
Solution 2: Ask the postmaster to make the smtp server listen on another port
Yeah,
and then comes the telecine where they copy the film digitally from the reels (much improved video quality). Then comes the DVDRip.
Of course leading up to awards season you might be lucky enough to find a DVDScreener which is a DVD copy of the movie sent to members of the awards associations (oscar, bafta etc) or to large video stores, often before general release of the film at the cinema, to help them with their voting/buying. These are becoming rarer at the moment due to the introduction of cinea dvds which can only be played on the specific cinea dvd players.
Steve Irwin vs Tommy Cooper for most ironic death?

RSI 2.0 for the WEB 2.0
1. I'll try that if I can get AOL to listen. 2. I am using a 3rd party SMTP authorized relay, that is the mail that AOL are hijacking

He got off pretty lightly there then.
So this thread is officially a 306b then...
boo hoo :(
Shouldn't this thread be called "Queue xenuphobic reactions"?

Don't worry, Tom Cruise will be able to detect them with his eMeter ;-)
