Activision just announced that the Destiny subscriber base is over 25 million IIRC and they have expanded paid DLCs by adding microtransactions for cosmetic items. Lots of life left in its projected 10 year life span (despite the critics claiming its a flop)
We deploy nothing else, all of our HP kit has been fine... the 2 laptops that did break were repaired quickly and with no fuss, and we run XP on all of them, even the newest Elitebooks.
Admittedly we aren't the biggest shop around, but 500+ clients and around 80 notebooks is a reasonable sample set of data to base the above on..
Yup, we just purchased a Verity degausser to wipe some drives before donating them to charity and have found that the servo track is wiped and they become completely useless...
£1800 wasted, but it's damn fun to wipe things with!
Good luck with your narrow views and *shudder* atkins style diet.
I think you'll find that a balanced diet with moderate exercise is best for weight loss and overall health.
We've been using thin clients for years at my company (well most people except us in IT) and it's true, the time spent managing desktops is much less, they are very cheap and easy to replace if one dies (wee've only had three out of 500+ die in the last couple of years).
The issue is that you still never actually get the advertised speeds, you just end up paying the same (or more!) for a capped account as you were for flat rate.
If the ISP's (I'm looking at you Xtra.co.nz) actually provided what you pay for under their metered scheme I'm all for it.
While I agree with your comments, the US government has a way of forcing their views on it's economic partners.
It doesn't take many sanctions or even the threat of souring relations between countries for the law-makers to decide that they'll only piss off a small portion of the population by passing laws like these - especially when you can paint the affected portion of the population as sword toting, parrot wearing pirates.
Yar.

Another +1 for the TP-Link 1043ND, I've had mine running for about 9 months without a reboot.... rock solid.
Cudos to the developers, I used XBMC for years and was continually impressed with their efforts. Great bit of software IMHO.
I only recently switched to PCH's in the bedrooms due to the inability (hardware limitation) to play HD content and wireless support.
1. Write confession app
2. collect confessions + phone number / email address

In XP anytime you use Windows Update or the newer Microsoft Update it uses I.E. It's changed in Vista.

This is a sales pitch, there's nothing new in that article. Google is just fishing for more business for postini...
