Its funny around the time the XBOX360 came out Console gamers kept saying this was the end for PC games. Every next gen console the same thing happens. Seems they were wrong.
AOL is an internet for people who dont know any better. With all the fancy advertising on TV with the people compeating in Professional sports and what not, that kind of stuff looks flashy to this idiot society.
Personally what I would like to do is take these commercials for instance the guy running the track....Yeah let AOL make you high speed with everyone else, but lets make this more realistic....Lets put this oversize hurdles in the guys way and call it SPAM or Spyware.
Or the kid doing the swim race, I would love to see him go at it then this huge shark come up out of the water and take him out in one gulp...I'd lable him Virus.
You know, I think the media really screwd up when they called it "software piracy"
Everyone WANTS to be a pirate. If they'd called it "software faggotry" everyone would still buy all their shit
Windows live sucks? I dont know about you but I love Windows live. The fact that we can run an IP based phone system at my office and have all of my calls (With the same number and extension) forwarded to my Cell phone does wonders. On top of that we make plenty of video conference calls and other things which windows live does well. Communication in general is also a breeze. Ontop of that Windows live is easy to deploy.
I dont know what your talkin about but I have had nothing but good things with windows live.
Well they probably take all the holes they are learning from XP and patch it on Vista. XP is more secure than any of the other windows OS's. What they do is just patch what has allready been patched from older OS's and anything new that pops up such as the MSN bug. They know to put that fix in vista aswell.
Now alot of people will say "Oh this OS is more secure" but what you have to think is how many people care to even try and exploit that OS. Say you take Windows 3.1 Right now if you ran that there is a very small chance someone will discover a new exploit and post it on slashdot or something. People who find these exploits and holes only care about what people use today. Which is kind of why linux doesnt have as many issues with security as windows. The majority of businesses use Windows Server environements. As linux MAC's or whatever else begins to grow more and more people will be interesting in finding holes.
But as for now I think Microsoft is just taking the issue that are arising with XP and just making notes for Vista. Makes sense why they think it is the most Secure OS, but that doesnt mean it wont have its problems.
...of that thing hitting us? Surly there had to be that chance of it missing the moon and running into earth right? Makes me wonder what else might be lurking around that could potentially miss the moon and collide with us.
Well I think a good sequal was Perfect Dark. Most of the times when you take a good game and come out with a "Part 2" It's useually fubard. However they came out with a great sequal to a great game, and I think it was a good idea to leave it how it was. Rather keep it a classic than tear it apart with a crappy sequal.
Nintendo has something that I think is really going for them. It is the amount of fun in there multiplayer games. I allways enjoyed playing Mario Party with 3 other people back in the days. It is stuff like that, that can be fun for both younger kids aswell as older.
I for one am sold on purchasing a nintendo over the new Sony or Microsoft Box. I think they have a wide variety in fun multiplayer games aswell as action games.
There are MANY people that stiff run Windows 98, even in a business environment. The biggest reason is that they are affraid of change. I have one company I do work for that is a vending machiene company. They use software called CompuVend. The version of the software they use is Windows 95/98 only. They dont want to upgrade there computers and software because they are so used to using this software.
In the business world you will see alot of this. There have been tons of networks that I have seen that dont like change and will keep there crappy ass Lotus or other legacy software products.
Final Fantasy has more of a fixed story line. No matter which way you go your allways on the side of good.
Oblivion is more open ended. You have the choice to kill whoever and whatever you want. There is also much more room for customizing character development in oblivion.
They are on 2 different levels of gaming I would say.
Thoes are the same people that open the e-mails saying
GROW YOUR P33N IN 12 EASY MINUTES!!!!!
and I say tuff shnozzleberrys to them. If there dumb enough to do that they deserve what they get. (Cept for the network affected)
I love how they seperate MMO's From Non-MMO's. They used the Term "MMO's and Casual Games" This would lead you to believe that all MMO's are not casual but rather lives that people live. There needs to be more Casual MMO's such as EVE Online, which doesnt credit you on Playing for 6 hours in one day. Rather is credits you on how long you have had your account online or off.
Skills are raised but training in that spacific skill. The skill will complete in a set ammount of time. Certin attributes affect it but only with minor numbers. You can then log off and still have the skill training. This is great for the casual gamer and is why EVE is ranked one of the top played MMO's.
Other MMO's need to learn from this and start creating more casual style MMO's
