You can't restore an iPhone with anything except the most updated iPhone OS anymore so if something arises, like a phone crashing all the time in my case, you are forced to upgrade the OS.
You say that ales lose out to lagers, but you seem to name mostly ales that you like. Stouts and belgian trappists are ales, as well as most european brews. In fact, many german beers are ales as well; including hefewiezens.

It won't work with AT&T 3G because it lacks the proper antenna. That leaves edge only on AT&T or even worse, T mobile.
