  1. related to the "blackest material" laser? on Femtosecond Laser Shatters Viruses · · Score: 1

I think the last time I saw the term "femtosecond" it was related to a laser that could "paint" metals the blackest black on earth. I just wondered if there was any cross experimentation with the same laser?

  2. COSMOs on Self-Sufficient Lunar Habitat Designed · · Score: 1

So, yeah, I read that first line to say that this came from Cosmo...I was confused. I agree with some of the above comments, I can't think of a reason to want to live on the moon, I would however, LOVE to vacation there for a week.

  3. Sorry on Federal Government Inadvertently Deleted Ca.Gov · · Score: 1

I believe little to none of what I hear anymore.
How do you accidently delete an entire domain?
    I call - liar,liar pants on fire.

  4. Good, and badish on Self-Tuning Electric Guitar · · Score: 1

This is really nice in the fact that wailing on an electric can take it out of tune pretty quickly, so it could get annoying re-tuning all the time, and, as stated above, you could probably switch to "drop D" tuning much faster. On the down side some people (not me) have perfect pitch, and if this doesn't match them exactly, it could drive them insane, fast!

  5. I HATE Peter Pan...er..uh, I mean, the FCC on GAO Report Slams FCC · · Score: 1

I've worked in radio for several years now and I was never really bothered by FCC regulations until I started researching the commission for a paper for school. They have so many biased, unnecessary, and out-dated codes it's ridiculous. I'm not surprised there's any sort of bribery or leaning going on.
If The FCC were a private corporation it would have been broken up as a Monopoly LONG ago.

  6. Doesn't exist on First 'Quantum Computer Chips' Demonstrated · · Score: 1

As long as this computer is in an enclosed case it doesn't exist, happily, if you've got one of those cases with a plexi-glass side, it DOES exist.

  7. I'm a little happy when things like this happen. on Ebay Hacked, User Info Posted · · Score: 1
I mean, I don't like when people's rights are violated and thrown up for possible harassment and fraud that could result in almost destroying a persons life, but this "fraudster" put the information right up on Ebay where it would just let them know how vulnerable their security is.

This may be redundant, but I, being absolutely ignorant in that area, like it when they do helpful things.

  8. So we still have a chance for Zombies?! on Germs Taken Into Space May Come Back Deadlier · · Score: 1

After the meteor making people sick in Peru came up with zero re-animated corpses I was pretty let down, but NOW! Keep your fingers crossed. In all actuality I think this just goes to show we need to put a bit more faith in the space program. Some of these bacterias may come back more harmful, but surely that means its only a matter of time we find one to come back extremely helpful. That's a little quick to jump to, but still - me likey spacey.

  9. I submit he's getting paid by game companies on Jack Thompson Sets His Sights On Halo 3 · · Score: 1

It's just hard for me to believe someone, even someone as crazy as Jack Thompson, would keep going like this. For me the cause is one of two: Either he simply likes being in the news, OR He's being paid by game publishers to pull out these insane suits and therefore generate attention for the game. Let the conspiracy theories flourish.
