what nonsense is this? All reviews I saw is that the RX480 doesn't even outperform the 2 year old 970 in most games, it does have a slight increase on DX12 games, but marginal.. The RX480 cannot make it's promises true in real benchmarks (as in actual games etc).. Yes it's cheaper than the 970, but the 970 is a little bit faster on a lot of games. And especially on powerconsumption the RX480 is a real let down, for a GPU which was manufactured on a much smaller size.. I certainly would wait before buying this card until nvidia has released the 1060, but you certainly would not replace your 970 with an RX480..
So it should slow-down even if the pedestrian is on the sidewalk? How about the pedestrian just watches where he/she's going instead of just ignoring everything around them when they are looking at their smartphone..
But if you let the car slow down when a pedestrian enters the driveway but it isn't on crossways etc, then you know people will just walk into the streets knowing the cars will stop anyway, so even more jerks will hold up the traffic..
All it shows is that our knowledge of physics is just very limited.. Laws of physics are only a template to try to explain stuff, it isn't set in stone, it's just our (lack of) understanding of physics..

And no that's not believing sci-fi shows, that's current day technology, and it's only in it's infancy.. You are really blind if you don't see that robots and computers WILL take over most factory and desk jobs. And yes IT created jobs, millions of jobs, but the same IT will now also cut the same jobs as they once created, purely because it did it's job of automating what it needed to automate..

Sorry, the language itself isn't bad, I've seen far worse code being done in (VB/C#,F#,whatever).NET or C(++), just like I have seen good code in both.. VB6 isn't the problem.. The mentality of people who think the language they use is much better, is even worse.. Yes you can write crap code in VB6, but you can write crap code in any language.. To be honest, I think the syntax of VB6 is one of the best/clean syntax around, BUT the compiler and lack of real OO certainly isn't (but as stories goes, VB7 was already feature ready (which did include real OO) but was canceled at the last moment because they wanted to push.NET). I do think opensourcing VB6 (or rather the internal available VB7) would be a good thing, but I also think people should only use it for 'legacy' applications and not start a new big project using it, especially because everything is moving to 'the cloud' (whatever that exactly means)..

BBC is just acting as any other commercial network, and therefore doesn't really have a real purpose anymore, and should go back to doing educational/information shows/broadcasts.. The big shows are produced by the same companies that produce for commercial networks anyway...

If bots become more 'sofisticated', I think it will be mandatory to have a disclaimer that the specific 'person' you are 'talking' to is a bot and not a human.. Bots will (and already are) used with supportchats, and to me it's just fraud, as you are expecting to chat with a real person not a bot (which in those cases is nothing more than a sophisticated FAQ)..
